Unexpected place in the middle of the City, with an incredible range of trees and plants. have a 20 minutes rest there if you get the chance, listening birds and walking in the green path.

Quite space in the middle of the city

The Central Park of Roubaix ;-) I really like the place for a stroll in the evening. So far to me it seems quite safe, and you do not cross a lot of people between 20:00 and 22:00. Quite to run through, nice landscape with the water pond, the fake grotto,etc...

It’s a very calm and beautiful place with ponds and ducklings in it. In autumn it looks very beautiful.

Pleasant Stroll

This is an attractive park close to the centre of Roubaix, with good pathways surrounding the lakes(s), and simple, yet appealing, gardens.

Ducks abound on the water, so if you have young kids, feeding the birds is a welcome distraction.

Parking is free along the roads which border the park, although there is at least one designated car park within the grounds. Access to the park is also free.

When we visited, a section of the park was closed, as it was being overhauled (probably at considerable expense with EU funding), and being given a ‘makeover’, especially the walkways.

Well worth a visit if in the vicinity for a change of scene, especially in the drab winter months where everything looks grey and miserable; an oasis of nature goes a long way in this built-up metropole of northern France.

Lovely Park for spending quality time
Sep 2017 • Friends
A great park loved by families who frequent this park on weekends for an afternoon of relaxation and fun for kids. It's a wonderful feeling to just sit there and do nothing but enjoy nature.

If you're tempted to go this apparently normally lovely park, don't. It's currently being ripped up over much of its length to lay drainage pipes. Definitely best avoided.

Beautiful

This park is well worth a visit, we got the tram to the end and then walked through it. The gardens are very well kept and its a delight to walk through even on a stifling hot day.

Lovely for all the family

A well presented and carefully managed park with lots of attractive features to browse at including a waterfall, man made rock features and hundreds of park benches. Plus plenty of open space to picnic while young children explore and use their energy. Well worth a visit. Easily accessible using public transport.
