We went here on the metro but only to find that it has been closed for renovation since April and reopens on 20th October 2018. The restaurant/cafe was open but you could not see a lot.

You all must go to this museum, it is amazing. The architecture and statues are beautiful, however there is no censoring names which could be offensive, however this adds to the statues.

This is situated outside Lille, easy top get to on the metro. Had to use google maps once there from the station, so check out the route before you go, it's only about a 5-10 minute walk. The museum is unusual as it's based in...More

Visited on recommendation from friends, easy 20 minute tram ride from Lille Flandres station. Amazing transformation of old swimming pool into very varied museum - paintings, ceramics and special exhibitions. Includes a Meert tea room. Closing for renovations on 01/04/18.

Amazing space. The preserved 1930's swimming pool/bathing facility was every bit as interesting as the collection of 19th/20th century paintings & sculptures. Takes about 1.5-2 hours to see it all. There is a great café/restaurant on site when you need a break. I had lunch...More

The swimming pool in art-deco style was stunning. The art collection was dissapointing. It was a mix of everything and nothing. There was not much to see and you could finish this museum in an hour. There are parking facilities nearby.

Don't miss this gem of a museum. The building and layout are beautiful in themselves, and the art is fabulous. A collection of so many different types of art you're sure to be amazed.

We were refused entry because we had bags (not huge suitcases, just small backpacks). Bags were not allowed in the Museum and there was no cloakroom where they could be left. Nobody cared. ‘Maybe you could go somewhere else and leave your bags and then...More
