Interesting Visit but difficult to do with a toddler
Beautiful tanks, many things to see. The day we chose was not the best because it was suuuuper crowded. We didn't have many space to move around with our trolley and many times it was difficult or slow to move forward (many stairs and so on). Our lil baby wanted to see a lot and though the tanks have plenty of spots to see through, but because there were so many people, it was sincerely hard to have him stand and look for a little while. Many interesting spots to read or watch info about environment but we didnt have time to read itnproperly due to the babies schedule and him being tired. Recommended on a hot day when there aren't that many people (especially for the restaurant/ entrance).
Hello and thanks for your feedback. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed your visit! Indeed, during school holidays, the number of visitors increases sharply: we advise you to come and visit Nausicaá as soon as it opens at 9:30 a.m. See you soon !

But what a wonderfull things to see, the whole nautic life can be seen during a visit. The gelly fish are so great to see, every part of this cinery is different to discover. We had a great time this afternoon !

I visit this aquarium with a friend in November last years. Nausica is the largest European aquarium. There are lot of marin animals; we can see a big manta ray, sharks or tribe of pinguin. The visit is very varied, you can see the marin animal from the four corners of the world. I recommend to visit this aquarium for his beauty but also his wealth of information about the world of sea and oceans. This aquarium is very beautiful, especially the large room with the big glass window, where you feel like you’re in the aquarium with the fish. I loved the visit and really recommend this place.
Bonjour, Nous vous remercions pour votre visite, et sommes ravis que celle-ci vous ait plu. Merci également d'avoir pris le temps de rédiger un avis très positif. Bien cordialement. L'équipage.

    Bigger Than I Expected
First tip is if you're travelling from the UK on Eurotunnel, you can 15% off tickets, all you do is show the hanger at the ticket booth. There are lockers (for 1 Euro) near the entrance to put coats & bags away while you walk around. I enjoyed the large tank, sea lions, the boat simulator, penguins and the immersive climate change experince which is a good message for people to think and hope for a better future.
Hello, thank you for your feedback on our center. We are delighted to know that you enjoyed your visit and hope to see you again very soon in Nausicaa! Kind regards, Géraldine, customer service.

We made a reservation a few weeks in advance (10:30), so I assumed only so many people could go in at that time. But apparently there was no restriction. Everybody was obligated to wear a mask, obviously. But the distance of 1 meter wasn’t respected by anyone. Way too crowded to feel comfortable in times like these.

Hello. We do limit the number of visitors inside Nausicaá. Currently, the number of instant visitors is limited to 3,400 people (down from 5,800). This entry quota is respected: we do not allow more visitors than the maximum capacity. To ensure that the physical distance between its visitors is respected, Nausicaá is implementing numerous means: compulsory mask, markings on the ground, signage, direction of the readjusted visit route and reduction of our reception capacity.

It was an extremly positive experience! We really enjoyed the visit from the very first moment. It was Friday afternoon, no crowds, everyone was following the rules, the staff was nice and helpful. The place itself is outstanding 👏 I was very impressed, got so many fatastic emotions, esthetically, educationally, technically it is done on a very high level. I strongly recommend it to everyone, whatever the age. We spent 4 hours, but I had a feeling I could stay more. My respect to everyone who created it and does maintain now. Great job!

It is over 20 years since my wife and I took our sons to Nausicaa. This time is was with the grandchildren aged 14 and 10. It is now bigger than it was then and just as interesting and exciting as it was 20 years ago.

From other reviews we expected it to be uncomfortably crowded but we did not find it so. The boys were able to get close to the 'tanks' and other exhibits and the explanations (which are in french and english)

There is a lot to see and take in, sharks, crocodiles, reef fish and many other creatures. We were fortunate enough to enter the sea lion enclosure just as they were about to start the show which was fun.

The whole thing is educational as well entertaining and both us and the boys had a great tme.

I hope it is less than 20 hyears before we can go again.

Firstly, this is a high-level aquarium with many interesting species, which all appear to be cared for well.
Many of the recent reviews mention how busy and crowded this aquarium gets. This is true and especially so during our visit at the height of the summer crowds. The issue here isn't the number of people, the place has plenty of space! There are just not enough viewpoints for the exhibits.
The vast majority of the floor space is used to show videos or information boards - obviously, these will not long hold the attention of any audience.
I would suggest that the aquarium adds more, smaller, freestanding tanks in the queuing areas for the larger attractions.

This is a fantastic aquarium for big and small visitors. They have penguins, turtles, Sea lions, crocodiles and sharks. There are sections dedicated to different parts of the ocean (one for coral areas, one for arctic one for jungle etc). There are fish in every shape and colour and it is all wonderfully made. There is also displays on global warming, rising sea levels and how humans and the ocean are effecting each other. This is well worth a visit! Remember to bring plenty of water! It can get a bit hot along the way!

This was a big dissapointment ... they let in way too many people, children everywhere, and what is there to see: one big aquarium, and yes it might be the biggest in size worldwide, but apart from that: a lot of filmed fish and dolphins. I was happy to support this place financially in these corona days, but overpriced for value ...

We were there at least for hours with our 2 year old. After having been in the Valencia aquarium I find hard to believe Nausicaa is the largest aquarium in Europe but its certainly amazing, and the visit is very well structured. I found the penguins area a bit small and sad but for the rest really nice place and kids love it
