About
Escape the city and get closer to nature at the Clent Hills, where you can take in panoramic views stretching to the Black Mountains. A much-loved beauty spot for hundreds of years, the Clent Hills are cared for by the National Trust. Walk the trails to the peak of Clent Hill to see the four stones, an 18th-century folly. There's something to see in every season on the hills, including blankets of bluebells in the spring. The Nimmings Wood car park off Hagley Wood Lane is run by the National Trust and is £4 to park all day, these funds go back into caring for Clent. There is an independent café here where you can get a butty and hot drink, toilet facilities, picnic benches and a natural play area for children. Free parking is available at Walton Hill, just a short walk away. Dogs are welcome at the Clent Hills. Please keep them on a lead in the car park, café area and on the Easy Access path as well as in areas grazed by livestock. Please keep dogs under close control.

A lovely day adventuring with the family today at Clent despite the weather being a bit rainy, would recommend wearing walking boots or something you’d be happy to get muddy! Fun for young kids along the tracks too.

Don’t forget to stop for a hot drink and a bacon buttie at the end! Super fresh bread and vegetarian options too.

Really pleasant place to visit.. certainly worth going. And as a member of the trust too as I enjoy visiting places. Was a little muddy underfoot and slippery in places but overall was good experience. Though recommend not going when it’s busy and try and go when it is quieter times..

Lovely place to walk. Would be a 5 star rating but for inconsiderate locals who insist on leaving large dogs off the lead with children around. One lady in particular who has a grey overly boisterous greyhound/whippet, she likes to walk around imparting advice to any who can be bothered to listen suggesting kids be kept on a lead instead of her dog. She could do with laying off the facial surgery too, very odd.

Even in January in the rain, the views were amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I can only imagine how amazing this place must be to visit in the sunshine. The only downside was the trails were quite hard to follow but that’s only a minor thing. The fact that toilets are on site and refreshments available is a massive plus, the Bacon sandwiches looked so good my husband wished he was hungry 😂.

Nice area to walk but would appreciate better signage for the different trails as if you are not local you will definitely struggle

We hadn't visited here for ages and now wonder why. We took our dogs last week and it is so pretty, there are several marked trails of varying distance and a small cafe for snacks/coffee afterwards.

The area of the Clent Hills is an outstanding place for walking (and exercising your dog, if you have one). From the Nimmings Wood pay and display car park (free to National Trust members), there are four marked trails, varying in length from just under two miles to four miles. At the start there is a wheelchair and pushchair friendly eays access path which takes you up to a toposcope (showing the features you can see from this spot), where there are also benches, from where there are marvellous views of the surrounding countryside. After the toposcope the paths become more up-and-down (and muddy when it's wet) but, if possible, you should not miss the "Four Stones" and the topograph (which indicates the direction and distance of the features you can see). Here, again, there are stunning views of the surrounding copuntryside. The "Rabbit Trail" path back to the Nimmings Wood car park, vis 'The Horse's Mane', is certainly not wheelcjair or pushchair friendly as it consists of a number of wide steps down to road level. Once you have made it back to the Nimmings Wood car park, refreshments and/or drinks are available from a cafe. There are also toilet facilities and a play area for children.

Nimmings Wood is a superb place to start or finish any walk around these beautiful hills.
The NT cafe serves brilliant and inexpensive bacon sandwiches.

My go to place to escape! Toast is amazing and amazing value cafe staff super friendly ! Carpark can get busy but believe there is another one detailed on NT website, always found the NT staff helpful and have shouted around the near by area to let people know they are shutting the Carpark but they obviously can’t go walking up the hill looking for people there’s a sign as you drive in clearly stating the closing time. Love you clent !!!
