Friendly local
Jul 2021
We found ourselves with time to kill in Whalley and liked the look of this pub from the outside. We received a warm welcome and when we asked if they were showing the Euro 2020 match they asked where we wanted to sit and set the channel for us to watch. Staff popped in regularly to check the TV sound was ok for us and whether we wanted more drinks. A very pleasant visit.

Great Tradtional Pub
Feb 2020
Nice to see a traditional pub without introducing too much modern, cold decor. It doesn't seem to have changed since our last visit many yrs ago, which we liked. If you want a good beer, pool & check out the sport, its for you. The bar staff also very friendly.

Place is seriously dirty & STINKS. Literally smells that bad I had to leave after one drink and go next door. Some (but not all) of the staff have massive attitude problems.

Real ale, real people, and sport galore
Mar 2017
A genuine , no frills local . If you want a decent meal Whalley has more options per square yard than any village you'll ever find. It's got takeaway everything, all in a picture postcard setting. There are wine bars galore if that's your thing, but if it's just a decent selection of real ale, a top quality pie and every sport channel going on a selection of TVs the the Delacy has to be the choice.

Perfect chavy experience

If you're looking for somewhere to see hoodies, tables smashed and drinks on the floor then this is the place for you! With pool room and sports on you're guaranteed to witness a fight or two break out, followed by hurling of drinks which the staff completely ignore and leave on the floor where people stand. The place literally stinks, but there again if you are wearing your drink you would fit right in!

Excellent pub.

I've been here quite a few times. The one thing that I always notice is it has a fantastic atmosphere and if the pub industry is in decline then this place bucks that trend as it's always packed when I go.
Friendly staff and at £3 return by train from my local station in Blackburn it's a cracking night out.

Shows lots of sports
Mar 2016 • Family
An alright pub, that shows lots of sports. It get's busy at weekend and evenings, but I think it could do with a bit of a makeover as it reminds me a bit of a working men's club.

Pretty tired pub

Popped in here for a pint and wished I had not. It is pretty tired and I am sure there must be better options in Whalley
