Whilst traveling back to Andorra we came across this Citadel it seemed in the middle of nowhere but we thoroughly enjoyed the time out, I think a great place to visit. More time needed

The visit is worth the trip even though the site is poorly managed and cared for. Outstanding sightseeing at all times of the year!

It's a medieval fortress with its village around it. Although it's not permited to go inside the fortress, the surrounding are very nice and worth a visit.

Perhaps we were spoiled by previously visiting Villefranche de Conflent, but my feelings re Mont-Louis were of huge disappointment. Although the fortress walls are impressive, the village within has a shabby, run down feel to it.

Nice trip to know a medieval village, very small one including an old fortress, but very picturesque, the mountain views are stunning
