The recently opened Polygone is on the edge of town near the station and offers a great choice of retailers (although fairly heavy on ladies fashion) and food outlets, with bowling and a cinema on site.
The whole place has been very well designed with a mini canal du Midi flowing through it. There is plenty of parking below and lots for all ages.
Given the bowling and cinema this is a good wet weather option for those rare wet days here.
Split over several levels the top level is reserved for restaurant and themed fast food outlets with large open terraces which are a fun hang out in the summer.

Very clean and modern shopping mall near Beziers train station. Mostly expensive fashion shops, with restaurants on the top level. Nice place to window shop but don't expect any knock down prices. The Mall also includes a Carrefour supermarket and a cinema. Visited out of season and very quiet.

I arrived at 9 am & could only window shop as nothing opens till 10 o'clock ,so beware if you are a morning person like me. The supermarket & a café were however open earlier plus I was able to walk round & admire the greenery , fountains , (very well designed & attractive ). I shall return soon hopefully as the shops look interesting & they are open till late apparently.

...that THIS is the #3 best thing to do in Beziers? We were drawn here by the high reviews -- what were we thinking? If you are from North America, save your time, and avoid a mall where the parking is a little expensive and the shops are yawn. You could find this mall anywhere. Why did you come to France to come here? You could find more interesting things ANYWHERE in Beziers.
If this review influences even one person to avoid this mess than I'm happy. Happy travels elsewhere in Beziers and the Languedoc!

Me and my girlfriend went to visit this shopping mall for an afternoon. I was wanting to buy a France football shirt in one of the sports stores but none of them sold France football shirts. I don’t understand why? The shops sold almost every nations shirt in their stores apart from France. So strange. Anyway after that we decided to go for a milkshake on the top floor. This was the highlight of the trip, I had a banana one, it was awesome! We decided to walk to H & M because my girlfriend wanted to buy some shirts which was fine. After this is when the hell started. I needed the toilet so wandered down to the ground floor. I had to buy a token for 50 cents and put it in this stupid machine to use the toilets. When I finally entered I walked over to the cubicles and the first door I opened a giant poo was sticking out of the toilet bowl and pee all over the seat. It smelt disgusting and made me feel ill. I opened the second cubicle and the were poos on the seat and diarrhoea down the bowl which was extra disgusting because the poos on the seat had actually gone into the hinges of the seat. I almost spewed. So I opened the third cubicle door and the toilet was blocked. There was poos floating in the bowl in deep toilet water with toilet paper and pee on the floor. I was so angry that I left. I stormed out of the shopping mall with my girlfriend. I used the toilet at home which made me feel better.

At the bottom of the hill on which Beziers is built and near the railway station is a very large shopping mall that contains lots of shops especially fashion, eating, movie theatres and a 10 pin bowling alley.
The landscaping is very well done but some of the the mall is very open to the weather with only a partial roof of glass.
Fortunately for visitors there is plenty of parking, payable after a couple of hours, and for pedestrians the free shuttle bus that runs around the city stops by, thus saving the steep walk up the hill to the main centre of town.
Personally I prefer wandering the cobbled streets of the old town and seeing small privately owned shops and cafes in a more natural setting.
The Polygone is also a good place to start the rather poorly signposted circular walk along the nearby Canal du Midi to the Ecuses de Fonserannes, over the old bridge to the other side of town, a walk that takes about an hour and half, not counting the time one spends watching the boats.

Visit with my pre teen son, everytime we come here consists of a tour of the shops,to include the rugby store which i could certainly spend an unreasonable amount of money within, followed by something to eat with a great choice of different foods around the world, this time was subway, my son's choice, next time mine followed by a trip to the cinema. All in all a very pleasant day. nice to have underground parking when it gets hot, coming back to a cool car is a pleasure in summer
