Walk by river and around medieval classic
Jul 2018 • Family
It’s great to wander, especially along a river with this piece of history as the goal. Such an enjoyable visit just strolling around the tower and keep. Doesn’t take long if you don’t go inside but worth it. Walk from the church and take steps from bridge to river. A great time together.

Worth at least a quick stop
Mar 2018 • Solo
If you are in Nemours you really should stop by. I like the classic architecture, but you can check ahead of time and see what exhibits they have in the museum (they have a web site with this information but since it includes commercial and/or promotional material, it can't be part of this review as per TripAdvisor guidelines).

Just a small castle
Apr 2017 • Couples
Small, medieval castle. Interesting to see from the outside, since it's actually from 12 century. There is the exposition inside, but very small (two rooms) and not really worth it. (Open from 2pm on Sun). You can walk along the river near the castle, which gives nice view. There is also very small old town near the castle, including the church, and the bridge (first one on the right from castle, looking from the river side).

Chateau inside Town .....
Nov 2014 • Couples
It's quite interesting at how the town of Nemours grew and was built around the fortified castle / chateau. Rather tall with towers and high walls, this chateau was made for warfare and it experienced its share, and more. Nice views of town from the available wall spaces. Fun excursion while in the area. ...

Simple fortress
Aug 2015 • Couples
Don't expect anything fantastic: this is just a simple fortress with an expo area inside. The history dating all the way back to the 12th century is interesting and the exterior is impressive. Tip: stop here if you need a break on the highway and maybe combine with lunch in town.
