A very nice Musee which told the story of the Ursulines in Macon....well preserved and well presented. Beautiful, calm and peaceful gardens to wander in and contemplate.

At two euros very good value for money. We concentrated on the archaeology exhibits from prehistory onwards on the ground floor. The second floor looks at local son Alphonse Lamartine and the history of wine and the Saône river and final on the second floor...More

This small museum has some interesting exhibits and a fairly large collection of art by local artists some of which is outstanding. They also have a Corot and some very goodq17th century portraits. The Palaeolithic and Roman sections were very interesting, with some memorable exhibits....More
