A short dribe from Vannes
Jul 2020
Worth a short drive from Vannes if you are wanting a swim or to visit the coast.
The basin swimming pool is filled with salt water from the sea. The beach area is now smaller, so will get crowded in summer, but the walk around the headland is always pleasant.

Sandy/dirt beach with concrete basin
Jul 2019 • Family
Sorry, but I can't understand the positive ratings. Conleau is nice for a small walk or a drink in a restaurant. But the beach? It is small and crowded. The concrete basin is probably nice if you don't have a good alternative. Swimming in the harbour is a slightly better alternative on Conleau. Much better are the beaches of Carnac or Landrezak (30 minutes drive)

Lovely area to sunbathe
May 2019 • Couples
Sheltered spot within a nice bay with locals and tourists enjoying the sun. Easy access, ideal for children within a short distance of Vannes old town.

Day trip to the beach
Aug 2018 • Family
Well this was a nice surprise. Whilst camping in north Brittany we decided to take a day trip a bit further south to follow the sunshine.
We literally picked this on the map and set off. When we arrived it looked a bit weird as the car park is opposite a man made lido. its a bit 'concretey' but was full of older generation swimmers. We parked up (change required) and walked round the corner to find a lovely little beach with loads of boats moored up. The kids went off to swim (not too deep in low tide) and look for shells - of which there were loads!! We got a great spot and sunbathed for an hour or two. Then we went for lunch in a restaurant wit a gorgeous outdoor area - moules, frites and ice cold chardonnay!!! Yum! Then the kids decided to go into the lido with their lilo..........hours later we had to extract them as the car parking had run out. All in all a brilliant day out, inexpensive and great for the kids!

Day out at the beach near Vannes
Aug 2018
Lovely little area. Beach quite small. Couple of nice restaurants. Clean public toilets. Great walks along the coast and lots of water sports.

Nice beach with sea water pool nearby
Aug 2018 • Couples
Nice beach, all be it small and a little crowded when the sun was beating. The large natural sea/river water pool close by offers more space but no sand. Loads of space under shady trees if needed though. As a combination it’s quite unique (on a tiny island in the peninsula) and offers a lovely afternoon out. Good cafe in between the 2 and plenty of parking if you go by car. Busses run regularly. Highly recommend, will go again

Natural sandy beach, ideal if weather is good in summer, large parking, some cafes and restaurant nearby; nice beach to go also with family.

Worth a visit.
Sep 2017 • Couples
Conleau is a small peninsular of the headland and has one small beach that is worth a visit. Can get crowded in the high season. The area is rather exclusive so expect meals and drinks to be on the expensive side.
