poorly taken care but beautiful views
Jul 2020 • Family
Looks poorly maintained but maybe because of covid. Many plants were dry or half dead.
Views are superb.

A delightful discovery

We went in the second week of October expecting it to be past it's best. We were agreeable surprised! It was full of surprises and offered lovely views over the surrounding area.

A delightful exotic treat in France!
Apr 2019
We walked from Roscoff town center to this wonderful garden which was a transport to another world. Right on the coast, we didn't know if we were in France or a tropical island somewhere. Highly recommend this exquisite labyrinth of a garden with many tropical and arid plant species. Not what you would expect to find in France!

Delightful array of plants
Sep 2019
A wonderful place to visit when in Roscoff. People generally drive off the boat and leave the town. Try and visit, it sonly 6 euros and you are sure to spend a delightful time here .

Morning walk & garden visit
Aug 2019 • Friends
Having had a coffee and croissant for breakfast in the old town we set off through the backstreets to walk to the Jardin.
It was a lovely walk through old and new, past the railway station & through the lovely fields of cabbage & artichoke, the onions had all been gathered in.
The Jardin is typically understated French. A dear potting shed at the entry, a couple of loos and some picnic benches, no café, which we felt was sad as we’d have sat out a rain shower happily having another coffee.
There was a good range of plants to see, and a route along paths to follow through the garden so each area was a new discovery. Most of the plants were labelled, which we liked. The pond area looked newly restored and there were lots of beautiful carp swimming round.
Well worth a visit for those interested in plants

Fantastic Garden

What a treasure! Amazing plants from foreign climes surviving so well in this maritime environment - well worth a visit if you are in the area - it packs a lot in to a small area but well thought out and planned - if you know plants you won’t be disappointed....

A lovely botanic garden to visit
Aug 2019 • Family
We had to spend a few hours at Roscoff and saw this as a possibility. We weren't dissapointed. A great collection of plants in a beautiful location. Do climb to the rocky hill at the top of the garden for a great view of the beach and ferry port. There is a good cactus collection, a pond with koi carp and a shop where you can buy plants, many succulents.

Beautiful and interesting
Jul 2019 • Couples
We were recently in Brittany and as we were staying nearby in Roscoff, decided to visit for the second time and were as delighted as we had been before. The gardens are as described, fascinating and well worth a look especially on a good day. As interesting for non gardeners as they are for experts. Be aware, not all parts accessible for people in chairs or not able to walk well. Being on several levels. Also although there are toilets, there is nowhere to buy a drink on a hot day. So do bring your own water. All that being said, it's fabulous and not over expensive. Good luck.

An inspiring relaxing garden

We visited the exotic garden as we had a few hours to kill before our ferry. It is well laid out and features some amazing specimens. It is clearly signposted and will be a delight for anyone who has an interest in gardening

Super colourful!
Jun 2019 • Couples
What a lovely couple of hours spent wandering around these beautiful gardens - so colourful at this time of year (end of June) and well worth the 6 euro entrance fee. The garden is well laid out making the most of the site leading you round with a lovely surprise round every corner. The majority of the plants are well labeled too which is a bonus for serious gardeners! There are toilets there now but no cafe, so take a bottle of water! Unfortunately, although it's quite an easy stroll around there are steps and some rougher paths, so it may not be suitable for anyone with moderate mobility difficulties.
