Do not park by the camping! There is still a while to go, keep driving until you see the restaurant and park there. Very nice view and frindly service in the cafe. It was a hot day! Cancale is a lovely little town and the oysters are great!

Fine dining in a spectacular setting. The fish soup is outstanding. So is the fish and the guinea fowl. The service is excellent, friendly, classy. The staff is helpful (we got a table although the entire place was booked solid). A great experience.

Take the Route de la Baie from Cancale to St. Malo and you will find this beautiful area of rocky cliffs, hidden beaches and stunning scenery. Little paths take you down onto beaches tucked between the black rocks - we had them all to ourselves sometimes. Lovely views out to sea and along the Emerald Coast to Mont St. Michel.

& come straight here!
After about three increasingly frustrating attempts to find somewhere that accepted mobile homes to park in Cancale we gave up on oyster dreams & continued out here.
Absolutely stunning views, lovely walks, peace & serenity, who could ask for more? Even got our oysters as part of a lovely lunch in the bar at the end!

The favourite place for my wife for "the écrevisses à la crème".
A spectacular view of la pointe du Groin.
Nice service and fresh dead food.
A very good place to try!

Come here whenever we are in St. Malo. Have know the Pointe since 1976. A designated nature reserve, so important to stick to the paths,. Still plenty of opportunity to enjoy the flora as well as the sea views and possibly bird life.
a WW2 bunker sometimes in use as an observation post to see the birds on the islands opposite
Toilets and parking available. There is a small souvenir shop as well as the hotel / restaurant and also the bar/ brasserie.

We visited the pointe, as a suggestion from our hotel owner as part of a days drive and explore from Mont St Michel to St Malo.
The views are second to none, with views from both sides, parking is limited so expect to wait during busy times, the pointe is also very busy with walkers and dogs, so don't expect a quite walk.
There is a cafe / restaurant which again gets very busy, worth a visit if passing but not as a special trip for.

Park early and walk along to the Point. There are designated areas for camper vans seperate to cars. Try to choose a clear day for good views. Visit before going into Cancale, as it is easier turning. There is a hotel, food and toilets out there.

I saw Pointe du Grouin on the map and had to have a look.
Parking at P du G is a Nightmare! We really struggled to park and unpark. Having found a space to park, I walked out to the Pointe which only took five minutes. On the way to the pointe there is a WW2 building to view.
If you go to the highest pointe the views are excellent. Use your telescopic lense and get some photo's of the lighthouse and rocky outcrops, the scenery is beautiful.
The added bonus is that although this place is quite remote there is a public toilet on site, but take some disinfectant with you.

A great spot to stop for half an hour or half a day. Many people had brought picnic blanket and breads and were laying in the sun. The walks are beautiful and easy. Lots of places have steep cliff faces so need to be mindful and keep smaller children in check. Lovely piece of a nature reserve. Two restaurants and a souvenir shop there too.

Bonjour,
