Drove 1.5 hours as we wanted to take the telepherique and then walk the rest of the way to the top of Puy du Sancy. Checked on their website and they said that it was open but got there and both were closed for maintenance....More

Great skiing value although the 3 main ski lifts do easily interlink with the ski runs - great for families and intermediate skiing

There are many comparatively short walks up from the massive car park, some with great exposure. You can make a fabulous 2 1/2 hr circuit and take in a coffee and snack at the ski station, with incredible views .
