Recently visited Zoo de Pessac whilst on holiday in Dordogne. Took a while to find entrance to Zoo as Sat Nav took us up no through road. Once inside the Zoo is small but has a reasonable variety of animals. Highlight was being able to...More

Well designed zoo with plenty of opportunity to view animals. Animals seem well cared for and not showing any signs of stress ie. Big cats doing exactly what they do in the wild - absolutely nothing! Certainly not pacing. Good selection of animals and activities...More

This spot is a bit outside of Bordeaux, and was very busy when we went. The enclosures for the animals are not that big, but it does allow you to get very close views of most of the exhibits. I don't believe there was food...More

The "Zoo de Pessac" didn't use to be all that easy to find because there were no signs to it, now they come from every direction! This is our local zoo and we've visited many times. The price is getting a little steep now, but...More

Lovely wee zoo. Well shaded from hot weather and thunderstorms!!!! Nice and compact. And has a good “raptor” section too. A good way to spend half a day out

It's a really small zoo, the animalss are so poorly treated. Most of them has scars on their body, some of thr animals have lost their ears due to the electric wires inside their "cages". Also, they were limping. It took us just 20 minutes...More

We opted for a day at the zoo as the photos their African safari section looked pretty realistic in their tourist information advert. We went by tram to Pessac (which was easy) but then had to wait nearly an hour for a bus that passed...More

We visited this zoo with our two young children (both under 3 years old), so we only paid for two adult entries, but it was still rather expensive for what there was to see and do. There aren't that many animals to see and they...More
