Excellent place to hangout
Oct 2020 • Couples
Nice walk in between plants and flowers and by the water. The garden is super well kept and there is a variety of beautiful flowers.
It's peaceful and quiet. You can fish, enjoy the view or just sit in a bench and chill.
Whatever the weather it's an enjoyable place to hangout. Come with an umbrella or a raincoat in case of rain because there is nowhere to take shelter.
It's 100% worth a stop if you are in Mimizan.

Beautiful display

A lovely short walk through a wonderful display of flowers and plants. Well maintained. Next to a car park and picnic spot. Make sure you visit if you are in the area.

Tranquil and beautiful spot

.

A gentle stroll alongside a pretty lake, on a path lined with all sorts of flowers, shrubs and trees, all carefully tended by the municipal gardeners.

What could be more delightful at any time of year?

The walk, including an extension along a path past the campsite on the lakeside, takes at most a short hour. But it's worth making the trip.

If you are an enthusiastic gardener, of course, it will take you much longer as you stop to examine most things, oohing and aahing as you go.

There is a car park that fills fast-
, so come early, and a pleasant shady picnic area nearby. There is also the Hotel du Lac where you can have a coffee or soft drink, although its restaurant closed 2 years ago, despite people still reviewing it since. ☹

You can extend your walk by walking through the picnic area and going through the woods further round the lakeside.

It is suitable for wheelchair users and pushchair, but no dogs are allowed. Other visitors will appreciate you not letting your children spoil their enjoyment of the tranquil surroundings by running screaming along the paths. There is a special child-sized tunnel of scents for them at one stage, so their good behaviour can be rewarded!

Nice place to relax, dogs forbidden unfortunately for dog walkers

We went for a walk around Promenade Fleurie and the lake. It was very nice and peaceful. The walk was quite small and the plants were quite young. Unfortunately we could not take our dog on the promenade, but he was allowed around the rest of the lake.

Stopped to look for a geocache in this garden. What an amazingly well-tended garden. Absolutely stunning flowers. Spoke to some gardeners when we walked round again the next morning - they were so happy in their work. Not surprisingly in such a beautiful location. Well worth a visit.

We visited on a hot and sunny day in August, and the flowers were stunning alongside a very pretty lake. Lovely place to visit.

Flower Paradise beside the lake
May 2016
Just outside the village, besides a big lake, you find a great opportunity for a little stroll between some beautiful flowers.

Botanical garden

Beautiful botanic garden, beside the touristic city Mimizan, the entry is free, the flowers blossom from spring to fall, there is a very good restaurant on the entry, as well as picnic tables and fishing zone, you can also rend a boat beside the exit of the park.
I recommend it

I work just round the corner. It's a great place to take a break and breathe. Beautiful gardens with a fantastic overview of the lake. 5 minutes from Mimizan Bourg but with the feeling of being away from it all

Worth finding

Splendid walk and beautiful planning. Free to visit and will not take you too long to walk (so good with kids!). You can the explore some of the trails along the lakeside. They have made a real effort with this promenade and it is well worth the visit if you are in the area.
