As marinas go, this large and smart one in Hendaye is top class, and for those with an interest in boats, there as some top quality ones to admire. Otherwise, the port is where you can take the short ferry ride between Hendaye in France to Hondarribia in Spain. The trip takes 10 minutes and costs 2 Euro each way. And if you haven’t been to either Hendaye or Hondarribia, the former has a fantastic beach, but the latter is a much more attractive, interesting and vibrant town.

The port is quite big and there’s a lot of boats . There’s also a large choice of shops for the boats.
We made a promenade all around the port. It took almost 1 hour. There’s also a lot of typical houses.

The Boat to Hondarribia starts here

The port as such is not as interesting as it is to take the boat towards Hondarribia. Form the boat you get very nice views of boath side.
