We spent a lovely afternoon boating on the Arcachon basin this week aboard the Libellule - premium Pinnace. It was expertly piloted by the very knowledgeable and friendly Kevin who also spoke excellent English. We ordered some food and wine from the company in advance and also took some of our own to keep prices down a little. The boat had a huge ice box we were able to store all our provisions in. The oysters and prawns we ordered were superb and served with a cold glass of champagne which was a special 'insta' moment! Unfortunately the on board loo was out of order but we made a stop off at one of the villages on Cap Ferret at the half-way point so the kiddies and senior citizens on board could use the conveniently placed public facilities! We all had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to use this company again.

Absolutely perfect day on this beautiful boat with our very knowledgeable and friendly captain Samuel. We sailed along the coast, had a lunch of seafood facing the Dune du Pilat and stop for a swim. Everything was amazing. A day to remember

Beautiful views..picnic on the Pilat dune in the evening.
Visit Arcachon taking the TER, super convenient. Boat tour around the bird island, very interesting.
Visit of the three fishing villages L'Herbe, Le Canon, Piraillant, the three returning from Cap Ferret: the best is to do it by bike
Besides, many bike paths
Paragliding the Dune from the Plage du Petit Nice: this is where we went every day to swim
Jet ski in Gujan Mestras: great in the basin and even better on the sea, maybe next time; in Gujan Mestras, aperitif with oysters around the oyster farmers
And then for girls: shop in Andernos or Arcachon

We were a private group of 10, adults, teenagers and younger children on a 2 hour trip from Arcachon around the bay. Martin was our guide and while he was friendly enough and would answer questions, the tour was largely silent on his part with no real effort to point out anything to us or chat with us during the tour. Not sure it seemed worth the 300 euros price tag.

Exceptional day on the pinasse Agour. Thibaut is a very friendly skipper, attentive and fully aware of the basin and its riches.
Under a bright sun, we sailed peacefully and discovered beautiful landscapes and colors... activity recommended 100% to do and redo without hesitation..

We had a lovely morning on the Les Pinasses du Bassin (dragonfly in French) cruising around Arcachon Bay with Kevin. He was knowledgeable and an able captain with a very interesting life story. He kept us entertained during the tour. We also stopped in a small fishing village on the north side of the Bay for very fresh oysters and wine that were delicious and highly recommended.

Really great moment! Very interesting excursion from the information given by the skipper. Magnificent views of the Arcachon Basin! Only small downside the excursion lasting less than 2h30 as normally planned.. otherwise to do again!!!

We have stayed in Arcachon for three summers. This year we didn't but family members assure us it is still just as glorious. The famous Dune de Pilat is a must-see (must climb too). It is Europe's tallest sand dune. The town is a favourite holiday spot for the popuilation of Bordeaux and there is a wide range of excellent restaurants, oyster bars, bakeries, cake makers and cafes. Try Clevacances for self-catering houses and enjoy the newly located and spacious town market. Take the 30 minute 'Navette' water taxi across the basin to Cap Ferret and eat at L'Escale - a superb fish restaurant. Take the 40 minute train to Bordeaux and if possible time your visit for the wine festival. Look out for the little shop that sells the most delicious macaroons, both sweet and savoury !

I organised a boat trip around Arcachon bay for 10 friends! Easy to book. It was one of the highlights of our weekend in Arcachon, Charming and knowledgable Captain, great way to see the Bay in a 2 hours! We brought out own champagne - lots of fun! I would definately recommend this company if you are thinking about reserving a tour!
