Tarte flambee good. Riesling from 2012 was ok.The salats Caesar and salat with girolles/ pfeffelinge not worth eating. We were asked if the food was good, we answered no, and the staff did nothing. We are not coming again.

Bonjour,
Il s'agit d'une confusion. Au Domaine Dopff "Au Moulin" nous sommes viticulteurs, et non restaurateurs. Votre avis ne nous concerne donc pas.

We visited Dopff Au Moulin as part of a tour group and had a very pleasant experience. We started with an information session near a vineyard and then proceeded to the wine tasting area. The presentation was interesting and informative, and we tasted samples of Gewurtztraminer, Riesling and Cuvee Julien. A very enjoyable experience.

We stop there every single time we go to Riquewihr with family, friends, etc. Great place to start or to end our trip. Location is perfect. We have always been very well received, even on very busy day. Staff have always been very kind to us, and helpful in our tasting and our choices. Their wine is great. Let's not forget this family is a pioneer of crémant d'Alsace (local sparkling wine). Worth having a drink there and bringing one or two bottles back

Dopff au Moulin (there is another Dopff!) and Hugel are two of the very best wine makers in this lovely village. I am sure both have similar excellent quality, but Dopff au Moulin was just the little bit easier for us because you can park beside the tasting area and load up the car.
This house was a pioneer of the sparkling wines (cremant) of the area, and it shows! An excellent range, and our challenge was choosing only two (the car was getting rather full by then...) The still wines are also excellent. There is some red, but I believe Alsace is really white wine country...you may see it differently.
We drove up, parked, and went to the tasting area....I don't know if they do tours (because we have seen enough wineries over the years we don't bother), but I believe they also do more formal introductions to Alsatian wine.
We have a good idea of what we like and went for specific types of wine. No pressure to buy, just a small sample to taste, followed by a skilful discussion to find out what we like, and find an even better match. Done very successfully, with wit, and in perfect English. It was very well organised.
So we bought a case or two......and the car springs groaned a little more......but that's why we travelled to Alsace! Prices from such producers are of course a little higher, but not markedly so.
And the beautiful village of Riquewihr is a bonus, with a lovely steep ascent to work off any excess of wine.

Hi we visited this as part of a wine tasting Holiday and the wines were good and the tour around the operation interesting. Compaired to others it was good rather than very good but still worth visiting we tried 5 wines and the tasting cost about 8 Euros . They also provided a few snacks with the wine. a good way to spend a couple of hours.

Don’t expect to get any tours or detailed explanations of the wine here, this is just tasting and selling of the wine (this is not the winery).

I’ve been here now twice with friends. My favorite is the rosé brut cremant! I buy it in magnums when available. They also have traditional Alsatian wines, schnapps and food items.

Came in with a group of seven for a one hour wine tasting session. Our hostess sat us down in a comfortable circle and proceeded to sample numerous wines, including Cremants & Chardonnays. Each beautifully explained, not rushed. The time flew by, and few left empty handed.

Informative guide that seemed passionate about the wines that were being served. Tasting area was quite small so the entire group was packed into a tight space, making moving around a bit uncomfortable. Access to the shop is a via narrow stairs and I personally didn't see any ramps or lifts, but they may be located somewhere to the side. Shop itself also has some specialty beers for offer as well as snacks.
