We hired bikes from Cycl'Hop to cycle part of the Alsace wine route. The plan was to spend half a day meandering along the lanes on the route. The gentleman who served us at Cycl’Hop was very friendly and helpful with a good sense of humour. He fitted us with bikes and off we went.
Now a note to anyone else planning to do the same – make sure that you have a good map – French sign-posting along the route is abysmal! We had a high level map of the area, which we assumed would suffice as we’d seen cycle signs as we drove along the route. However, this turned out not to be the case and we got hopelessly lost and ended up on a main road with huge lorries rather than on the beautiful and quiet winding lanes of the wine route! When we were on the cycle route it was fabulous and I’d recommend it to anyone. Bike hire for 4 hours cost around 25 Euros.

We came to rent bicycles for five family members.It started with Pascal the owner leaving his shop to assist me to find a parking place and then fitting a bicycle for every family member and finally directed us to the right bicycle path.
Also the price was definitely reasonable if not even low. Highly recommended!

We hired two bikes from here, the chap who served is was very helpful in providing a suggested cycle route round some local vineyards and towns. Great value for money for the bikes too

I was extremely pleased to find Cycl'Hop as it was the only place to rent an adult trike. Doru was most helpful with scheduling my rental. The trike was new and worked very well. As others have noted, it is good to have a route map. I was riding with a tour group and able to enjoy an extended ride through the wine region. It would be difficult to find your way just following signs. I highly recommend this shop for bike rental and assistance.

I am very happy to recommend the service offered by Pascal: We organised our own cycling trip from Strasbourg to Colmar asking Pascal to provide some good e-bikes and organise the transfer of our luggage from hotel to hotel. The bikes were excellent and everything went smoothly from beginning to end. He was also reasonable in his quotation.

We hired bikes from Cycl'hop for a days family ride through the vineyards. The owner was exceptionally helpful, from the moment we walked into the shop he spoke very good English and helped us to decide on where we should head, including providing us with a free map. He offered to deliver two adult and a child bike to nearby Mittelbergheim for minimal cost, and we enjoyed a wonderful ride from our gite down to Selestat and back. Highly recommended.
