Lovely zoo in a beautiful garden. Established over 150 years and has some magnificent old trees. Small but interesting variety of animals. Wolves and polars bear and lemurs were my favourites.

Went to see the great plants.... came away thinking we had inadvertently paid to keep animals in psychological distress.. The polar bear was showing obvious signs of stress/madness from being there. Just pacing back and forth... I couldn’t bear to see any other destroyed animals... Please close the zoo....

Very good place, quite big, lovely gardens and enclosures in general were all nice and good sizes. Nice variety of animals to look at, with a good shop, cafe at the back, maps and so on. It was just a shame a couple of enclosures were being worked on so nothing was in there, and some others didn't have many animals (e.g. the penguin enclosure only had 3 penguins, all hiding at the back, that one could've been better) but generally a good zoo I wouldn't hesitate to recommend checking out if you need something to do.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this zoo. The animals have plenty of enrichment and places to hide. Beautiful grounds.

Cost €12 for entrance in winter that was okay i thought. The zoo was okay but very quiet, there was some lovey animals. Enjoyed the day there but there wasn’t anywhere open for a drink or snack. The monkeys was funny they sounded like a house alarms screeching. The bears are beautiful don’t see Bears much in a zoos so was nice to see those.
