You need to walk to the end of Palombaggia beach, go through a nice pathway in the 'maquis' and the coast totally changes: rocks (nicely smoothed out by the water) instead of sandy beaches, perfect spot for snorkling, brilliant photo-location and a rock youngsters do jump from into the mediteraneen sea. Definitly worth the walk ... and, honestly, it is not sooo far, once you are at Palombaggia.

Excellent crystal water and white sand beach without the dried seaweed that was plentiful in Santa Giulia beach. Tamaricciu was also much less crowded and almost deserted at midday. When looking for a perfect beach with more privacy, this is what you want. Remember to park your car at Route de Palombaggia near Costa Marina restaurant and walk southwest. After 5-10 min walk head left and you'll see a small signpost with a path to the beach (5 min).

Love the beaches in this area - happy that the area is well kept and protected. Remains my favorite vacation place in the world.

Beautiful beach on Corsican coast.
A mix of sand and rocks with pine and trees behind
Clear blue water is what you will get for sure.
This beach isn’t protected from the sun.
A mix of nude and covered attendees
Parking is like most beaches where you can find a spot.

It was 23 euros for one sun bed, umbrella not included. Parking another 10 euros - so four the two of us, that's 56 euros per day just to stay there, another 5 or 10 if you wanted an umbrella. We ended up going to Palombaggia beach instead, so I can't say much about the water, but the sand was soft and nice Not sure if there were many spots for people who just wanted to bring their own towel, but the parking was an issue.

This beach is next to Beach Palombaggia. They are as different as chalk and cheese. In Tamaricciu beach the water is cleaner, almost clean. There are great restaurants and good beach services. Parking is much easier although fee applies.

This was the nicest of the White sand-turquoise water beaches near Porto Vecchio.

Upon Arrival, you pay quite a high parking fee (10 EUR) for the day, which you can use for any consummation in the Restaurant. Make sure to ask before ordering if you are in the right one (they only accept vouchers for their own parking spaces and names are quite similar, Palm Beach, Palm Beach Pizzeria etc).

Water Quality and the nature of the beach is much nicer than Palombaggia, and a Million times nicer than Santa Giulia - turquoise gorgeousness. Like in Palombaggia, water is knee and hip deep for a long strip from the coast, so great for children.

The Restaurants make for accessible bathrooms, a great plus.

Moderately crowded in June compared to Palombaggia.

Drive is about 15 km from Porto Vecchio on acceptable roads.

The only downside is private property is fenced and the actual beach is relatively narrow from the water shortly before the lovely pines. Pines give shadow in the afternoon, but unlike in Palombaggia, the fence prevents sitting or sleeping under them.

There are lots of nice beaches however one thing that is really worth checking is wind speed and direction when choosing where to go. Corsica as with Sardinia can be windy, which is fine but it completely changes the beaches from sheltered and stunning to choppy and not as enjoyable. Went here with southerly breeze and went to far right corner which was sheltered and the sea is beautiful. Lots of restaurants and options of sun beds, we just take a towel and buy a parasol for shade. Definitely recommend as not quite as busy as some others.

We had heard and read a lot of this beach - apparently one of the best in Corsica, even Europe - so we wanted to discover it. In the end, we were a bit disappointed.
Yes, the trees behind the beach give a spectacular view but there were a lot of people, a lot of (expensive) bars and restaurants with their beach chairs, the sand was not the purest we have seen, a lot of boats and jet skis, the sea was wild and deep (for a 3y-old... at least in the late afternoon and the day we were there...)...
All in all, we have seen nicer and more quiet beaches in Corsica (e.g. Calvi Beach, Pinarello beach)

Terrible food. A pity as it used to be a great beach restaurant.. Service is horribly lacking and generally overpriced.
