We started this walk along the coastal path from Calvi. It takes around 2 hours to walk to the lighthouse but you can turn back at any point and there a number of small beaches and coves along the way you can stop at for a swim or to have a picnic.

The path for the most part is easy, although the first half hour after leaving Calvi is a bit more rocky and rather overgrown in places. You can shorten the time of the walk on the return by heading up to the road at around the halfway point.

It is an enjoyable walk and the sea is so clear and blue. Take plenty of water as there is no shade and no facilities on the trail.

Of all the small walks we did in Corsica, this must be my favorite hikes of all. We had no plans to do the more serious hikes in Corsica (GR 20) but were after easy walking trips. From our hotel in Calvi, we drove to Revellata using the road D81. At the entrance, we parked our car. The road towards the restaurant by the beach and towards the lighthouse requires a car which is a four-wheel drive. Big potholes on the road so do not attempt to drive inside the area with your rental car. You will end up stuck up for sure. The walk was quite long but enjoyable. It is going up and down. Do this on a sunny day. We had lunch at the only restaurant by the beach. On our way towards the lighthouse, we found a path along the edge of the cliff. This wasn't so long so you will eventually go back to the unpaved road. From the lighthouse, we followed a different path which was along the coast and it ended up in the restaurant. The whole journey was fun. Bring a couple of bottles of mineral water and some snacks. Like they say, do not leave your trash in places like this. What you bring in your hiking trip, bring it back to the hotel.

Great walk along a coastal path from the bastion of the cross just outside Calvi. I would recommend taking water and note that the lighthouse is shut and offers no shelter or toilet. We stopped off for a swim and a bite to eat at Mar A beach. Great morning walk

Tip 1 once you have past Hotel Aria Marina within 100 Mts turn right sign posted Plage De L' ALGA and follow the lovely coastal path down to the snck bar in the bay (if you miss this as we did you have a walk along the road which will take an extra hour!) The path to the lighthouse is well defined and easy walking. There are many bays to take a swim in (be careful to have something on your feet as they can be very slippy) The Cafe in the bay is very popular and you may need to book. A really good walk which should take 4-5 hours depending how much swimming and drinking you do.

Nice scenery, about 3 hrs to do the whole peninsula. Slight uphill 300 m vertical if not relatively easy.

Start on the left path in order to en up on the right to use the beaches at the end oh the hike.

Great views

It is a rather long way to go from the city (about 2 hours 1 way), but leave your car and have some hiking experience. A stunning view opens from the lighthouse observation ground. We were even happy to see some dolphins diving. And the sunsets there are amazing.

The hike to the Revellata light house is longer than expected, but worth it. We used around 4 hours from Calvi, and the path is steep so good shoes is a must. Not too many take this walk in the warm summer, enough water is a must to bring.
The lighthouse itself is closed and also the area around it, which was a bit disappointing. Passed some beaufitful sights and the view of the sea with the boats is amazing.
Some beaches are accessible to have a swim on the way, most needed to cool off.

My hotel was actually the Hotel Revellata and not far from the views of this coastal outcropping with a lighthouse. It makes for a gorgeous and easy walk (cars passing notwithstanding but manageable) back down from a visit to Notre Dame de la Serra.

Walked here along the coast from Calvi. Reasonably easy to navigate and got some glorious coastal views on the way. Not a whole lot to see at the lighthouse itself but worth the effort even on a hot day.

We had discovered this charming little place while walking, very beautiful view and the color of the water was turquoise.
