Ten of us, aged from 9 - 71 went on the two day Stay and Play adventure with the wonderful folk from Bridge to Nowhere Tours. We had an exciting jet boat ride up the river to then walk to the Bridge to Nowhere (2.7km each way on a gentle climbing path). Ben gave us a really informative talk on... More

This company run a superb adventure tour up the historic Whanganui River with great experiences. Starting from Pipiriki with the jet boat ride to overnight at the Lodge high above the river in the most picturesque place. A warm welcome there on arrival in late afternoon, and enjoyed views over the river from the substantial deck. Lovely fresh home cooked... More

We had an excellent trip with the Bridge to Nowhere Company up the Whanganui river to the actual Bridge to Nowhere nice cuppa/lunch and back to boat and down to the Bridge to Nowhere lodge where we stayed over night. What a nice friendly place to stay, with these amazing million dollar views of the Whanganui river. Lovely evening meal... More

This is a long and fun jet boat ride of more than 30 km up the beautiful and isolated Whanganui river and is very good value in terms of time spent on the river in the jet boat. The sides of the river bank are imposing and majestic and our guide Ben pointed out how high the river could rise... More

The trip up to the bridge walkway in the jet boat ride and the history provided on the trip by the Guide Ben .At the bridge a lot more facts and figures plus old photos just added to the experience. We all stayed at the lodge for the night which was warm and the bedrooms and the beds were excellent.... More

My mum grew up in Wanganuni and in all the years we've been back and forward to visit family there, we have never done this tour. what a gem! It is about 1.5 hour along a windy river road from Wanganui to Pipiriki but the views along the road are aonderful. Suggest allow 2 hours so you can stop and... More

We took the package that included a jet boat tour of the river with a short hike to and from the bridge at the far end. I enjoyed the hike very much. This is a pretty easy tramp, and should be doable by anyone who is relatively mobile. There are no steep ascents or descents, and the track is fairly... More

We combined this jet boat your to the Bridge to Nowhere with an overnight stay at the lodge. It was an excellent overall experience. We chose to jet boat both ways but others were canoeing some parts of the river. The area is remote and the scenery breathtaking.

I had a good day but I thought this company was unprofessional. Firstly, I arrived at 10 am as told to check in. No-one was around and office was closed up. At around 10.20 they turned up with no explanation or apology.I found the driver to be a bit cocky. I asked if there was drinking water on board and... More

We loved our trip! Joe our guide was funny and informative and the jet boat ride was a great way of getting to the walk to the Bridge, which is quite literally in the middle of nowhere. The highlight though was undoubtedly when we got dropped off at the lodge and paddled for a couple of hours as a family,... More
