Our boys loved visiting the castle. It's got such an authentic feel with dozens of bedrooms, dining rooms, kitchens and bathrooms. There is a well which is probably 100m deep that you can play with, a blacksmith workshop, a torture chamber, towers, and archery. We...More

This is a wonderful plan for a day trip. You can visit the castle, have a guided tour and eat delicious Medieval food. Make sure you call and make reservations in advance.

This restored castle is well-worth the visit and has an excellent restaurant with outdoor seating. Do take the time to climb to the top of the castle tower, where you can enjoy a great view of the surrounding countryside.

Enjoyed the impromptu visit with a German friend. The Attendent/host that greeted us upon arrival couldn't have been nicer. Also she spoke excellent English and went out of her way to make my visit memorable. The castle and grounds were accessible up to including the...More
