A beautiful experience and if you love quality pottery it is the place to go. Their technique only creates to shades of glaze. A beautiful sage green and a vibrant blue. So much to choose from but so little luggage space. They have a sale section on the left as you come out of the main building which is worth a look. Hopefully we can have more shipped home.

We wanted to see celadon being made as well as have the chance to buy a few souvenirs so made the trip to Chiang Mai Celadon in DoiSaket. On arrival we were invited to watch a short video before looking around the workshop where you saw the various processes in operation. There was also a stunning showroom of beautiful pieces, suitable for all budgets, but really nice quality. All the buildings are grouped in a lovely green compound which makes it a particularly nice place to visit and there are several traditional wooden buildings full of beautiful pieces which you can look around. Also, the lady owner was particularly welcoming.

I have no words to describe our recent visit other than, LOVE!!!
From the moment we stepped into Chiang Mai Celadon, we were greeted in the warmest and most elegant manner, Mod, the site marketing a PR director is a lovely young lady, she was a guide through the shop and presented the different facilities, the company employs artist, not artisans, the detail and dedication to achieve perfection is unparalleled by any celadon company in Chiang Mai or Thailand for that matter.
We met the fascinating lady behind the company, Tessannee, an example of grace and beauty that's simply felt throughout her compound, she radiates happiness and that's why I felt in love with this memorable place.
The quality of the works of art are par none, we purchased a one of a kind piece we will treasure for years to come!
If you do not visit Chiang Mai Celadon, you will be buying just another celadon, this is the one and only!

The craftsmanship is amazing and you will be able to see the entire process including the intricate hand painting and carving of the pieces. The grounds are so beautiful that you won't want to leave. Plan to spend a few hours here and if you call ahead they will prepare lunch for you. You will be able to tour the factory and the lovely grounds, sip some lemongrass tea and browse the showroom. You will bring back a beautiful memory from here!

I had a wonderful experience at Chiang Mai celadon. I loved watching the process from the start to the finish piece. My goodness and what beautiful pieces they are. I picked a very beautiful pot all hand carved and painted. The show room at Chiang Mai celadon is unbelievable so many beautiful things to take back home and show off to family and friends. I will be buying more on line.
Thank you Chiang Mai Celadon I love my pot. Kathleen from Australia .

Set on beautiful grounds in traditional Lanna style buildings, Tassanee Celadon is a must see for those with an interest to either view or purchase Chiang Mai Celadon.
Visitors can see first hand the manufacturing process of this beautiful product and watch the artists adding their personal touches. For those so inclined classes are also available so you can make your very own piece of celadon. There is a huge onsite collection of Thai ceramics along with fabrics, paintings, silverware and much more collected by the owner over many years.
Celadon ceramics can be made to order or purchased through the onsite store with items including dinnerware, home décor, gifts and souvenirs. The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive and you will be warmly welcomed. My favourite place in Chiang Mai for celadon.

The show rom or rather a GALERY displays a range of Thai celadon coffee/tea, figurines etc, Not cheep, but exquisite! There is a shop nearby where you can purchase cheaper items. They also organise pottery work shops . Even if not interested in shopping, absolutely do yourself a favour and enjoy these artful items.

I came here two times last year(2014). Next week I'll go to Chiangmai celadon again.
This place show me that Chiangmai Heritage are embedded in people. Chiangmai Celadon's creative worker and their team made me feel warm welcome. They work smart and deliver valuable Celadon to the visitors. If you are finding the place to visit in Chiangmai or in Doisaket then Drop the pin in your google map and go to this place. I believe that you will have some great experience like me.

The hostesses were most gracious. Both Tassanee and Ari were very warm and gave us a welcome that went beyond professional to very personal. I love educational tours and was curious about everything. I had so many questions. Ari was incredibly patient with my requests to slow down for picture and video taking. We were plied with a steady flow of lemongrass iced tea. Lunch was simple but very elegantly made from presentation right through to taste. The rice noodles were al dente... the mango was sweet... the celadon ware was elegant... the company was gracious.
The place shines with humanity. Tassanee took pains to explain that she is happy that her staff earn a good living. It is not a sweat shop. People work there in dignity. Ari clearly had warm and loving relationships with the humblest worker. They are so kind that they won't even harvest chicken eggs if the hen is sitting on the eggs! There are 40 tame hens and cockerels roaming the place. There are rabbits too who have no fear of humans. I picked up one and cuddled it.
I very much enjoyed exploring the teak houses. They are all linked up on the 2nd floor and demonstrates a high level of refined living within. I paid for a factory tour and the experience was so much more.
If you are to do a celadon factory tour, do this one! However, you may find that the hotel or the taxi driver will drive you to other factories because this place is somewhat further out. That happened to me. I had to insist very hard to finally get to Chiangmai Celadon.
The factory tour is free but the workshop is chargeable. If you sign up for the workshop, you get to do some pottery on the wheel, some pottery painting and some etching. The pieces on sale were lovely too.
