It is not just a massage course. Mac (the teacher) has this kind of aura that makes you feel like home in such a natural way.
If you ever decide to make this happen, forget about western way of learning and try to flow. I have learn so much from Mac, his knowledge is so wide and he teaches in a very easy way that even the ones who don’t have a great english knowledge will still get a great understanding.
The place is located in a very local area outside of Chiangmai city, surrounded by nature which I really appreciated, so I could be 100% focused on the course.
Get ready to learn a lot at the same time you will have fun!!
Who says learning has to be boring and tedious??
Thank you Mac for such a great experience🙏🏼

Great place to learn Thai Massage, away from the city hustle, in a true family atmosphere environment. Met some lovely people, eat some delicious food, and most importantly learned heaps about that massage. Mac is a great teacher and an all-around fantastic human being. This was one of the most fun and rewarding learning experiences I've ever had.

I studied with Mac for a couple of weeks in April this year to further develop my practice and skills in Thai Massage...and I am really glad that I did. Mac has been teaching Thai Massage for over a decade and before starting his own school he studied and taught at two of the most well known massage schools in Chiang Mai, so to study with Mac is to get the benefit of learning from someone who has a very solid base and most likely in a class size that is a lot smaller than what you would experience in the well-known schools.

Mac has excellent English and is very patient with demonstrating and correcting mistakes with technique. At the end of my course, Mac also provided a handy one page 'cheat sheet' showing the routine for a 1 hour - 3 hour massage. I have found this resource fantastic and something that helped with learning the massage a lot....as typically schools might just give you a exercise book and it can be easy to lose the flow of the massage when you are still learning and needing to return to the book to see what comes next.

The only challenge I found at time was the heat. I was studying during the hottest time of the year in Thailand and although there were fans and water was used to cool the massage space it did get hot at times. But it was still manageable and should not be a problem at all during cooler periods of the year.

I only went for one week, so not enough to get certified, but enough to learn some tactics and focus on skills while enjoying a nice break from all the hustle bustle of bigger cities and traveling country to country. It's a nice place to unwind, learn, eat healtht, do yoga and meditation in your down time, visit a local towns market daily for cheap food, and meet new friend. Mac, the owner and teacher is very friendly, lovely to talk with, and creates a positive atmosphere for easy learning and easy relaxation. It was a great week and if I had more time I would have stayed to get certified. He makes delicious vegetarian lunches, has 3 or more showers, and a full kitchen at your disposal. Highly recommend for anyone looking to learn thai massage or just have a relaxing week while picking up some new skills. Make sure he takes you to Be Organic one night for dinner ;)

Attending Mac's Fine Art of Thai Massage was one of the best experiences of my life!

Mac is a natural teacher who brings humor, encouragement, and compassion to his teaching. His school is one of the cheapest in Chiang Mai, and offers a unique experience of living in a rural Thai village with other students. This means more practice time, learning about local Thai culture, community living, and no distractions from the Chiang Mai cafes :)

To ensure a successful learning environment, Mac limits the number of students in each class to 12. However, the average class is often 7-8 students (mine was 3!), which means each student receives significant attention to learn Thai Massage. If you Google other Chiang Mai massage schools, you'll see one popular school sometimes has class sizes as big as 18!

Outside the classroom, Mac wants his students to enjoy their time in Thailand by offering day trips (at a reasonable cost) to nearby natural attractions, and to Chiang Rai. He has free bicycles at the school, and scooters are available for 200 Baht a day. My classmates and I enjoyed visiting Chiang Mai every weekend, and also riding bicycles around the village.

Learning Thai Massage is fun, but challenging work. I am not a professional masseur, but feel confident to practice these techniques after learning from Mac. If you want to learn from a true master, go to the Fine Art of Thai Massage!

I spent the entire month of November 2017 studying with Mac. I could not have chosen a better atmosphere or teacher to learn authentic Thai Massage. Mac is a patient, kind, caring teacher and his love for Thai Massage shows brilliantly though his teaching and interaction with students. The school itself is set outside the busy city in a country farm neighborhood. The tent accommodations at the school are incredibly comfortable. I will never forget this wonderful experience or the people I met during this time. The knowledge Mac has to share in Thai massage and life is priceless. Mac is with me in every Thai Massage I preform for now on. I highly recommend taking the 4 week course.

Very friendly and comunicative teacher, beautiful school near chiang mai (he picks the students in town center) in a very quiet and lovely countryside house. The teaching system is very good structurated and very pedagogic, allowing to get all the basis and positions of traditional thai massage in a short time for a good price.

I spent over a month learning traditional Thai Massage at Mac's school, and I feel very humbled and happy by this experience.
What Mac teaches goes beyond of the physical body, and even if theory is learned, these healing teachings must be experienced.
Mac is unique, an amazing human being and teacher and will do all possible to help.
The school is in his property, a really calm and beautiful place with lot of healing to offer.
Meals are delicious and I loved my single house!
I look forward to come back soon and Id highly recommend Mac's school.
