We joined the afternoon 2.30pm-7pm class and had an amazing time with Da and his family. We were pleasantly surprised that the experience was much more than just the cooking class. We also got a tour in Da's organic garden where he let us smell and taste the various herbs and vegetables as well as explaining what they were and how to use them. We also visited a local food market with lots of fresh produce where Da also gave us a detailed tour and explained about the various Thai cuisine ingredients. The cooking class itself is held at Da's property so we also got to experience a Thai country side home together with Da's lovely family. The main event, the cooking class was fun experience and we got to cook 4 different Thai style dishes that we got to select ourselves from a menu and learned how to make them from scratch. We will definitely visit Da's cooking class again on our next Chiang Mai trip and will strongly recommend it to our friends and family.

Da is very kind, knowledgeable and professional, and his passion for organic farming is obvious. He picked us up and dropped us off for no additional charge. His facility which included an outdoor kitchen, organic farm and lotus pond were all charming. Da and his brother were entertaining and helpful. Da's brother walked us through the farm and pointed out various vegetables, herbs and fruits that would be used during our cooking experience. We chose the 4 things we wanted to prepare for our meal including soup, main meal, dessert, and of course a curry. Da worked with us to prepare a vegan meal and made sure not to include any foods we were allergic to. He also includes a recipe book that includes all choices from his menu and some other favorites, like papaya salad. We had a great time and the food was delicious and filling! I would highly recommend this authentic cultural experience.
