    What a buzz!
Firstly Alan our host was great had us at ease from start to finish! You felt safe from the beginning. We did both tree courses and it was by far the best part of our holiday excursions! All the staff were really helpful! The courses were fun, challenging and a great family activity. Alan reassured both my children at one point to keep them reassured and waited while we completed the course. Our daughter was a little scared and took a while to gain confidence. Useful tip is to book ASAP as we arrived Saturday and could only get booked in the Friday at 3pm so pre booking is essential in my opinion. Few little suggestions would be to provide a secure place to leave belongings as we didn’t have a car with us. Also due to the nature of the activity possibly offer photos to purchase at the end. We would have happily bought one. Such an adrenaline rush and unfortunately we haven’t got a photo to remember the activity. However we now have two children addicted to zip wires and it has been a fabulous experience none the less and we would definitely recommend to others.
Thanks so much for this lovely review! We are so pleased that you enjoyed! Being the best part of your holiday excursion made us smile! We normally do have lockers, but have removed them for now due to Covid-19 - we hope to offer them again soon! Great tip regarding photos too, we are looking into this. Thanks again!

Summit to Sea trip of a lifetime
What a great experience! Our trip guided by Colin from In Your Element goes down as one of our best, if not the best we’ve ever done. We did the Summit to Sea expedition which, over 5 days, involved tackling summits then canoeing down the River Spey. In between was lots of excellent local knowledge, foraging tips and tasting a really innovative local meal plan and wild camping. If you’re wanting to get away from it all, camp in outstanding spots and get a work out whilst still enjoying excellent foods then this is your trip! We went in May so evenings were a bit chilly and I did end up in the water one day but it didn’t deter from the fun of trip, if anything it added more stories to the huge memory list we were building. In terms of logistics, everything went smoothly. The member of the In Your Element team we met who helped with transfers of kits I.e delivered our canoes ready for the paddling leg were good fun aswell. The company also allow you to borrow some kit if requested in advance so don’t let this put you off having a trip of a lifetime. We joined in Inverness, but if requested it should also be fine to join for Aviemore so don’t be afraid to ask! Based on our experience I wouldn't hesitate booking with them again!
Thanks for much for this lovely review. We enjoyed reading it and so pleased that you enjoyed our Summit to Sea Experience! We hope to see you back trying another expedition in the future!

    Adrenaline Fuelled Adventure!
An amazing adrenaline filled morning Gorge Walking at an incredible location in Scotland near Inverness! Our party was a mix of adults and young teenagers (one age 11). Colin, our guide for this adventure, was a fantastic host, his obvious knowledge and experience of the Gorge meant that we were all able to experience it at a level that each person felt comfortable. Want to jump off and over a fast flowing waterfall and into a deep pool?! then fill your boots! want to sit that one out... then no probs! The experience was around 2 hours and took us up an amazing Gorge not visible from the road or pathways. We climbed up over rocks and fast flowing water, we jumped into deep pools, we shot mini water falls like they were slides, and we swam under and jumped off a waterfall! This was a fun filled safe adventure, Yes it was a little cold to start, but the wetsuits we were given were super warm and together with the excitement and adrenaline you warm quickly and immerse yourself in the experience. I can't recommend this more, particularly as a fun activity with family or friends. You don't need to be super fit for this, but you do need to be relatively agile, so it's maybe not an adventure for Great Grandma...
Thanks so much for this awesome review of the Culloden gorge walk - we are so pleased that you had the best time! See you again we hope!

We did canoeing on the Loch Ness with Scott D as our guide and it was FANTASTIC. Well well worth the price and such a great experience. Scott was an excellent guide and made sure to try and talk with everyone in the group. He gave a lot of great information about Scotland, the local area, the Loch Ness, etc. Pretty much the PERFECT guide! He even remembered that it was my birthday and bought me a special cupcake!! We only had one day to spend on the Loch Ness and we are so glad that we did this tour. I hope one day they offer a longer tour like an all day one with lunch and coffee breaks on islands included.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience canoeing on Loch Ness. Colin was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and provided lots of interesting facts and figures about the history of Loch Ness. It was my first time canoeing and he was very patient and gave good instruction for beginners.

The 'Summit to Sea' trip, hosted by In Your Element, was excellent from start to finish. Colin our guide is a true expert both on the hill hiking and on the river paddling - he really went the extra mile in sharing his knowledge of the local surroundings and in teaching techniques on and off the water to ensure we had a safe and enjoyable expedition. The food was great and very impressive for wild camping - we were certainly well looked after! It was clear that a huge amount of hard work had gone into designing and planning the trip. I would recommend it to anyone who is keen to see some beautiful and dramatic scenery in the UK and meet great people, doing a challenging but very achievable expedition. Thank you to In Your Element!

Tree Zone was enjoyed by our group, we had 90 minutes of great fun that the rain didn’t dampen. There was just enough of a difficult challenge for our 13 year old but easy for the 16 year old. The event was well organised, efficiently run by a nice bunch of enthusiastic young people.

100km canoe trip across Scotland:
The sheer amount of smooth organization for our trip through wavey, windy and rainy lochs was amazing! Meeting a person who is doing exactly what they are supposed to be doing is very rare - but our guide Colin was one of them! He was able to steer us through difficult water, explain every animal, vegetation or sports questions we had. Food, equipement, organization and guide of In Your Element was on point! Thank you Colin for being one of us while showing us the way. To watch him excel in his Element was just as amazing as the scenery around us. What an adventure to have with the greatest people in our group! Cheers to us and knowing when to rudder or side sweep :)

This trip is definitely for you if you want to get out of your comfort zone! The hike was full of dramatic scenery but tough at times, carrying a large, heavy rucksack really changes your fitness level I found out! After the hike we canoed down the River Spey, which is as beautiful. We were all learning to canoe for the first time and Colin, our guide, gave clear instructions, was patient and really encouraging. I couldn’t fault his skills as a teacher. Colin looked after everyone really well, we had different dietary requirements and he made a huge effort to make sure we all had food we would enjoy.Overall it was fun and challenging and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a physical challenge and to experience the Scottish outdoors 😊

We did a canoeing tour along the Loch Ness with Gavin. It was incredible!

It felt like we were the only people there- canoeing is definitely a great way to get a real feel for the famous lake. We got lucky and had fantastic, clear weather and were able to reach the waterfalls - roughly 40 mins paddling from Fort Augustus.

Definitely one of our top highlights from our Highlands trip!

We had an afternoon of Gorge Swimming with Colin at Bridge of Brown and it was utterly amazing.

As a group of 8 friends, on a clearly swollen river, in winter, there was some trepidation. Colin was an absolute legend though; clear instruction, answered all our questions and gave us great advice. All the equipment we required was supplied and was top notch.

We were in the water for the perfect amount of time. Everyone came out exhausted, but exhilarated.

Can't recommend giving this a go enough. Many thanks to Colin and In Your Element. An experience we all agree we'll never forget!

How to sum up canoeing the Great Glen.....5 days canoeing some of the most spectacular scenery I think this country can offer with the help from an experienced and helpful guide who can also russle up some amazing dinners......what more do you want?! Yes it can be hard and it's definitely not luxurious but would I do it again.....most definitely yes! All the kit is perfect and clearly well looked after which is very reassuring. Colin our guide was always on hand to provide some knowledge about the surroundings and his passion for what he is doing is great to see.
If you are thinking of booking please just do it, it will push you but it will is 100% worth it.
Keep up the great work guys.
