Travelling up the mountain was a real experience. Getting to the top, we saw Lake Plastiras. A man made lake. An engineering marvel. An incredible view of the lake in middle of mountain range

We went before the big rains and snows and we had the option of going to the bottom of Lake Plastira! Wonderful experience with friends!

Very nice trip to the nature close to Athens even for two days trip. You have a lot of choices of activities like riding horses, cycling across the lake or cycling in to the lake with the water cycles and much more activities

One of my favorite mountain destination at any time of the year. Surrounded by 18 villages, is certain that beauty in combination with the great accommodation in lodgings will make your days very interesting and beautiful also. At Kalivia Pezoulas you can do horse riding, archery 🎯 and canoe-kayak. Many good dining options in the areas tavernas. I recommend Plastira Lake for calm and relaxion.
Tip: At the Autumn and winter the fog hides the lake view.

We visited Lake Plastira in December. The new road made our trip a piece of cake. The weather conditions also contributed to enjoy our stay and visite all the villages around the lake. The lake itself is amazing. You should definitely visit "Paratiritirio" for the breathtaking view, drink a cup of coffee in "paralia pezoulas" or in Naiades hotel by the fireplace or just drive around the lake and enjoy the ambiance.

One of the amazing experiences that we had organized for us during our stay at Lake Plastira. The scenery at the Lake Plastiras is majestic, with the whole mountain scene, the green valley and the impressive lake making it a serene setting for outdoor adventures. There are two types of horseback riding options available at the Saloon Stables, either a 30 minute ride which costs 15 Euro or the 15 minute ride at 10 Euro. The Saloon also offers other activities such as archery, canoeing and paddle boats which can be rented out at 5 Euros per hour.

Just 1 hour from the city of Karditsa you can go to the lake with your car where you will see a unique natural park with a large pond. The colors and the combination of the tree is unique.

This lake is the only reason to visit Karditsa. It is really a wonder of nature. You should also visit Plastiras Dam when you go to the lake. Passing on the bridge of the dam is really interesting.
