One of the best beaches we have discovered.
In August there is a charge for parking (€5 per day) so it is better to plan to spend a good time there. You have to arrive early to find space and a good seat.
Walking a little towards the nudist beach, you find small shaded coves with few people in the water at the end of the rotunda. The water is very clear, full of pretty fish for snorkeling, very peaceful, I want to go back! There is a snack if you haven't planned a picnic but we didn't try it.

This beach is hidden behind a hotel resort. So you’re not really sure where to go. Follow the people.
There are a few paid parking spots outside of the resort.
The beach is divided into like three beaches so different types of sand/rock/pebble and water and sun and shade. A bit for everyone!

This is a beautiful spot. The water is crystal clear, the beach not crowded. We had a nice meal at a café overlooking the water.

Not a beach if sand is a requirement. Stoney and gravelly. You will need beach shoes unless you let yourself into the water by the steps that are installed at various places from rock platforms. Whole area has been well developed with concrete platforms built into the rocks. Plenty of sun loungers and parasols. Not sure how it will be in high season

There are essentially three major beach areas on Rab: (1) Suha Punta and surroundings which are in a nature reserve area where you have to park centrally around one of the big hotels, (2) Lopar where you have sandy beaches but a bit more crowded, (3) a so-called "party beach" at the other end of the island in the direction of the ferry terminal.
We really enjoyed the Suha Punta beach. It is rocky though - but if you are ok with that, it is a great place to relax. Many families use the beach and it is not as crowded as the beach we went to on Lopar.
On the grounds of the Imperial Hotel there are also nice wooden umbrellas and loungers to rent (around 60 Kuna for two loungers and an umbrella) which was convenient. The hotel restaurant was also very good value for money.
Overall, we can recommend this beach. Family friendly, clear waters, pleasant people.

Nice and clean location, you can stay directly under the sun or under nice trees. You can rent 2 long chairs and umbrella for 60 kuna. Very clean location, close restaurant and cafe bar.

Enter and park by the Imperial Hotel. They also serve good food there once you are tired of lounging around the beach.
The coastline here is a bit rocky and jagged, but water is crystal clear and the beaches less crowded than elsewhere on Rab Island. If you prefer sandy beaches, try Lopar beach.

.. coming here for several years, just changing beach and location as one part is for children (with sand) and another for good swimmers, for jumping into the sea, enjoying in blue life and nature, sea is very clean ; silent clean surrounding, swimming, walking, reading, enjoying your drink or just sitting in the sun in the morning or before the sun is falling in the sea, poetry and that's all..No need to think about wardrobe, sportivo outlook is just doing fine, take your byke , jogging dress or just enjoy few days or weeks staying not doing anything, Hotel Carolina is nice, comfotable and well located, Hotel Eva is not renovated but for families with small children, pets allowed. Program in the evening could be better, but nature is beautiful and enough for people coming to forget stress and crowded city. City Rab is just 3-4km from Suha Punta..You can go there by boat as well, romantic, is'n it:Simply;I love Rab and I would come again

Probably its only this time of the year but we were surrounded with bees all the time which was kind of a buzz killer.
The water and the little bays are spectacular really, pine trees are giving shade though there aren't many comfy places under them.
Parking is quite far from the nice places so think over twice what you leave in the car, you would not want to walk back. Hotels are okay looking but some part of the buildings (holiday row-houses and abandoned hotel) at the area is very depressing. They can not be seen from the shore so its not very bothering after all but could look much nicer without them...
For little-ones the are 2 kids-friendly part, both like 20m long but gives enough place to build things, get busy and get familiar with the big sea.

Buongiorno,
Quanto dista il parcheggio per le macchine dalla spiaggia?
È possibile portare il cane?
Grazie!

Confermo quanto detto da allison f.
Aggiungo che dove siamo stati noi non c'è spiaggia di sabbia bensì massi ed erba.
