I was in the area and I had heard about the paper mill. It is a very interesting tour and the audio guides are great. You see the paper making process and see the history of the place. Highly recommended!

To watch the true old processing is like a miracle. Also the price you pay at the shop are quite surprising.

We took the basic excursion (number I) which led us through the history and current state of the production of both hand-made and mass produced paper. The exposition start with the overview of history and the materials used for paper production, then you can see equipment used in various stages of the production. After a short video about the local factory and the production process you can visit the real production area with real performances of some of the steps. In the shop you can buy hand made paper of high and extreme quality which are used by universities, companies and even countries for their most important documents and correspondence. The only disadvantage is that the tour last only 1 hours which is not enough to read everything about the paper production and details about local factory.

The paper mill is in private hands now but the exhibits (or most of them) appear to have been around for decades. This, however, does not degrade the experience. The visit was very informative.

One of a few European still for centuries operating old paper mill manufacture in Velké Losiny is the top attraction to visit. Everybody will be fascinated by this facility, production process and its heritage. Kids will love it and can toy with making hand made paper in the adjacent workshop.

a most interesting visit which expands enormously whatever you might have thought about the making of paper - very reasonably priced and having some splendid examples for sale, also very reasonably priced, which we bought as presents to give in England. an illuminating and very worthwhile visit.

The whole museum tour was great, entertaining and worth the visit. What more was they are ready for non-Czech speakers who get audio guides and are able to follow the tour without need of reading through dull documents.
