DOLPHIN OBSERVATION

Dolphin Watching is one of the most requested trips. Dolphins have lived free in Golfo Aranci for a long time and now recognize our boats. It starts from the MARINA DI OLBIA port and we make a tour to the Capo Ceraso and Tavolara islands. We visit the Doctor's Beach and stop for snorkeling. . In our excursions we offer a good aperitif on board based on always fresh Sardinian ingredients. We make numerous stops to enjoy the beautiful sea of Sardinia and take many baths to cool off after sunbathing. Furthermore, on the islet of Figarolo, among the Mediterranean scrub, it is often possible to spot the mouflons that permanently populate the island and, in the period of late summer, the gray herons.
We have experience in the field of boat trips for a long time, our excursion is now known as one of the best trips to do in Olbia and Golfo Aranci. We are waiting for you on board. Happy holiday

Exactly what you expect, a small cluster of very old Olive trees. The oldest tree is protected with a barrier, but the other trees ( one is 2000 years old) you can explore. You are going there to see a group of old trees, so don’t expect any roller coaster or tacky attractions.

After reading all the positive comments, we decided to visit this place. Yes, everybody is absolutely right about how special it is to see a 4000 yr old tree. However, we were very disappointed when we saw how small the area was and that there was nothing more to do than looking at 3 very old olive trees. For us, the 10 minute visit was not worth the 45 min (x2) drive.

500, 2000 and 4000 year old olive trees. simply wonderful to consider what these have seen. thankfully mankind has not ruined them. a bit difficult to find in the middle of nowhere, but prersevere, well worth it. not some theme park, just natural history. be in awe. 2.50 euro entry fee. worth it.

This was not the easiest place to locate as the signs from Sant Antonio de Gallura were not easy to spot and the village of Luras itself was quite some distance from the olive trees. However once we had got there we really enjoyed our visit. It is obviously very difficult to age these trees precisely but they are enormous, clearly extremely old but still producing fruit! The twisted forms of the branches and the multitude of different trunks is quite remarkably beautiful. As a contrast we also visited the Surrau winery on the outskirts of Arzachena where we found some more venerable olive trees but these were only about 500 years old.

It’s an olive tree, but 4 thousand years old !!! 😵 easy to walk round, very quiet , it’s a tree! It cost 10 euros for 4 people to see the tree.
