The guides were all so funny and the elephants are treated very well. The only sticks used in the entire trip were used to cut sugar cane for the elephants :) We were picked up first from our hotel at 1:30 exactly (we chose the afternoon half day option), and then we picked up 2 other couples. The ride to... More

Wow what a fantastic day we had here, eddy is such a great host and you can see he loves the elephants and they are treated firmly but nicely, his mahouts are also trained eddy way, we walked rather than try to ride bare back. The bathing of the elephant was amazing, and the staff took a dvd which was... More

My partner and I visited Eddy and his elephants back in November. We were expecting a loving and caring environment because these are supposedly "rescued" elephants. Instead we were displeased to find that the owners and workers don't treat the elephants with much respect and use sharp sticks and prongs to attempt to "control" these wild animals. It really is... Half day afternoon trip. We were firstly picked up by eddy from our hotel, and drove an hour to the elephant camp. We were then taught about the elephants, just some basic knowledge on weight, how much they eat etc.. And then also the words needed to ride and feed the elephants. Then going and meeting the elephants and feeding... More

After checking the website.. I really through that the place looked ok because of the "100% respect of elephant" and the "eco tourism label" ... but the place and the Eddy's wishes is not to protect elephant !!! This place is just like other tourism attractions to get more money and hide elephant abuse.. Elephant do some show like kissing... More

Here is the deal. Eddy himself is kind, and I think he really loves his own elephants. The morning we spent changing into our mahout clothes, learning the vocal commands for riding elephants, feeding the sweet gentle creatures some banana and sugar cane, and then having some tasty lunch -- this was all great. These few elephants seemed calm and... More

Overall, we had a fantastic day. It was fun feeding the elephants and getting to know them. Then we rode bare back on the elephants for a few minutes to get acquainted, which was a little nerve-wracking at first, but you get the hang of it soon enough. Had nice lunch of curry (one chicken, one veg) and rice. Rode... More
