This little museum in Via Frau is definitely worth a visit if you're interested in the history of the area. It's beautifully laid out in four rooms - The Room of the Sea showing trade between the 6th century BC and the 6th century AD, The Room of Cuccureddus Sanctuary (Cuccureddus was a large settlement on the coastal area of... A very cute museum with lots of interesting exhibits and most importantly English translation. The first time I visited a museum that only opens from 6 to 9pm in the afternoon because of the heat.

Not a vast collection, but certainly worth a look. Didn't realise how many varieties of amphorae there were.

A few broken pots and not much else. Didn't take long to go round this place. Just not much to see. We went round this place in less than half an hour.

We enjoyed this small museum. It concentrates on local archeological finds and is set out beautifully with good explanations, many of which have English added. The museum was purpose built recently within an old villa and the displays have been arranged to their best advantage. Easy to spend an hour browsing.

Well planned out museum containing archaeological funds from the area around Villasimius, including shipwrecks from the Roman period and one from the 15th century. Leaflets are provided in languages other than Italian, and there are also interpretation panels in English as well as Italian. Probably not the place for a long visit, but definitely worth exploring. There are clean and... More

We came across the museum which is situated just off the main street in Villasimius and is only 3 euros to get in. There's lots of interesting items to look at but it's fairly small and will only take about 30mins to get round. Well worth a visit to see some of the towns history.

A small but well laid out museum with some very interesting items, from various periods of history. Staff are very cuteous and there is also an immaculte toilet for vistors' use - good to know about when visiting the town!!
