One of my Gargano favourites, the spiaggia/beach at Vignanotica is surrounded by a wall of bright white limestone cliffs. It is only accessible by walking down the steep hill. Parking is available in an olive grove at the top for 7 Euro and includes a shuttle down to the beach. The beach is in full sun until about 2pm, then... More

Visited Mattinata for 2 weeks, and went to vignanotica twice. The beach is really beautiful, but difficult to reach by car.

Really cozy, romantic beach. You should go before the season, to avoid the turist attack, and to really enjoy the peace and the chi of this wonderfull place...

Well. Just to say that I bring my best guests in this beach every time I want to make an impression. I've come to this beach since 80's and it has not changed its charm much. Just please, do not spread the word so to keep this corner of paradise intact!

Breathtaking place although sometimes quite crowded. Unfortunately sea is not clear for snorkeling. Many caves around Great sun till 2pm, later partially in shadow.

We visit Vignanotica beach during our last holiday. Four days. It's our opinion that this is another must see beach. Vignanotica Beach offers a pebble beach with many caves carved by the sea. Now you can reach it by a pine tree-lined path, although in the past visitors had to arrive by sea. Backed by attractive limestone cliffs, the beach... More

No sand, only small rocks, difficult access. There are only two restaurants. The prices are correct.

this is a little walk from the nearest road - but worth it. A lovely long (400m) beach with stunning white cliffs We had it all to ourselves most of the time - with a warm Adriatic lovely for swimming in October. Not so sure I'd want to be there in the high season - heat and possible crowds!

the place is amazing even though the water is not so clean and clear. on the weekend too many people and terrible tourist boat trip that invades the beach for 1h!!! take a canoe and go around discovering caves and little private beaches! go to the bar to eat seppie with potatos and enjoy the superfriendly people working there!

The view, the peace, the towering white cliffs were breathtaking. And the food was great from the little cafe located onsite. Wish I knew about the path to walk down to the beach from the parking lot. We paid 5 Euro to get a ride in a bus down a rocky road that had us airborne with resulting sore fannies... More
