Vieste private guide: beautiful town with small street and lovely scenary

Vieste is a village in the Gargano promontory which counts more tourist presences in Puglia. This is because it is a beautiful place set in a breathtaking natural scenery that connects it from the mountains to its incredible sandy beaches and sea caves. The guided tour will start from the historic center, very nice, the guide will take you in the typical alleys with the classic white houses overlooking the sea with breathtaking views. You will visit the cathedral built in the eleventh century in one of the highest areas of the town and dedicated to St. Maria Assunta. The tour continues with the external visit of the Swabian castle with a triangular plan overlooking the sea, currently used by the Italian Navy.

Not far from the castle you can admire the sandy beach and the Pizzomunno rock, 25 meters high and symbol of the town and closely linked to a legend of love.

We stopped her for a break during our boat tour of the Gargano coast. We did not disembark due to the large pebbles and the fact that I am slightly infirm of foot but the beach was well occupied and looked very pretty with its wooded white cliff top surroundings.

You Will need to drive quiteva bit from the main Road to go there. And once you think you are there you are left with an option of going to the Beach with a minivan (10euro) or walk 800 meters. At the Beach you Can rent an umbrella for 22 euros. It is a pebble Beach but exetremely beautiful. Good facilities at the Beach as Well

Lovely beach where the water just drops immediately and the stones are amazing for us from Australia not used to non sandy beaches. Was a little cold when we were here but still went for a swim in the beautiful water. We walked from the nature trail starting near bay of zingare

We followed the Gargano tourism map walk from the highway to the beach (approximately 2km through olive trees). When we arrived at the beach it seems there is private parking nearby and a lot easier access than the path led us to believe. It doesn't matter as we really enjoyed the walk, which gives great views across the cliffs and plains around Mattinata. While the beach was essentially empty on a rainy midweek day in May, I imagine in summer it is busy and unpleasant. The beach itself is pebbly and has large overhanging calcite cliffs. It looks impressive but I don't know if it makes it a nice swimming beach.

This is simply the best beach in Gargano!! The 2 restaurants are very welcoming, parking nearby with a shuttle transfer works well. But the most important point is the great scenary with the cliffs and the clear water. Simply great
