Booked day pass on ferry to Cinque Terre from near our hotel in Portovenere. Planned to walk a couple of sections of the iconic Cinque Terre path (2 are closed due to landslides). Enjoyed the actual ferry ride and views to the villages of the Cinque Terre. Ferries were crowded and queuing to get on was chaotic. Villages were overcrowded... More

This was a ferry we took from La Spezia to get to Monterosso. This is not the fastest way to get there, but definitely worth the ride as you see all of the towns from the sea. I would have liked some commentary along the way to explain what each village is known for, but I think you need to... More

Nice boat trip monterosso to Porto venere. Stops all towns and on a sunny day no better way to view. I liked Porto venere best. It gets really crowded so come early and snag a seat on the Port side outbound/ starboard inbound. Really good photo ops. Tip : use this as a first sight of the towns you want... More

Last Saturday I took one of the tours offered by this company from Levanto to Portovenerre. Despite a forecast announcing heavy rain, they were still selling tickets (the company has a waiver about reserving the right to cancel/modify trips based on weather). There was no warning about possibility of cancellation later on in the afternoon despite having just 1 boat... More

We did an off-shore excursion with this particular local boat cruise company from our Cruise Ship which had docked at La Spezia for the day. The trip was fantastic, very memorable and it was amazing to see the "five hamlets of Cinque Terre" from the sea, ... and then to spend some time at Vernazza before returning to our cruise... More

After walking from Monterosso to Riomaggiore using some goat DNA..the path is very steep up and down at times, this boat trip was a pleasant way to see the towns . We also did not want to miss out on seeing Portovenere so opted to take the 1430 ferry which gave us 3 hours to explore before the last ferry... More

Every time, I found the staff here very calm and unexcited, but VERY nice. On my last day there, I realized I had left my identification with a little pedal boat operator in the farthest cinque terre town, as I rushed to make the ferry. They were so kind, and walked over to the operator, got my id, and shipped... More

We took the boat trip which goes from the port area of viareggio. It's the stone walkway just by the side of the beach before you cross over to the port. The boat had a large area at the top (in full sun) to see the view. Because of the cooling breeze we found it fine to be there. The... More

It was a great idea to take the boat at Levanto and travel to the farthest city of Cinque Terre and then come back to Levanto by train at the end of the day. The boat ride is pleasant and you can see the Italian Riviera from afar, but close enough to enjoy everything this location has to offer.
