Reliable safe vessels are the best way to see the Cinque Terre from Portovenere. Ticket booth staff are some of the rudest people I have ever encountered. Best to learn Italian in advance because asking basic questions in English gets you scowls!

HIGHLY recommend Consorzio Marrittimo to anyone wanting to see all 5 towns of Cinque Terre in one day! We arrived at the dock (quick 15 minute walk from the La Spezia train station) around 8:15 for the 9:15 departure, purchased our tickets quickly (they accept...More

I booked a boat ride from La Spezia to Monterosso and after the boarding I figured the cashier gave me 10 euros less change than I was supposed to get. These kind of actions are the ones I hate the most since I don't like...More

This was a ferry we took from La Spezia to get to Monterosso. This is not the fastest way to get there, but definitely worth the ride as you see all of the towns from the sea. I would have liked some commentary along the...More

Nice boat trip monterosso to Porto venere. Stops all towns and on a sunny day no better way to view. I liked Porto venere best. It gets really crowded so come early and snag a seat on the Port side outbound/ starboard inbound. Really good...More

We jumped on in the beginning of the tour in Viareggio, the ferry pick you up on the end of the pier at the beachside at 9 in the morning. They only sell tickets on the boat and you have to pay in cash.
