If you are looking to escape the average, ho hum, look at this monument, or this famous painting, etc., then Italia Sweet Italia is the tour for you. It never really seems like you are on a tour. It seems like you are LIving every day experiences with the wonderful Italian people, and having a heck of a lot of Fun doing it. You become part of the Italian culture just by hanging with Fabrizio, and meeting his incredible friends and family. Everything from making homemade pasta at his cousins house, learning the secrets of fresh homemade pasta meat sauce, that his mother prepares, to sampling incredible wine from their vineyard, right on the premises. Then comes the best part when you get to reap what you have sown, and sit down to a full on meal to the most tasty food and wine that you can imagine. The food on this tour "is to die for." I'm not kidding. There is sooo much more I could tell you about, but my words would not do it justice. Italia Sweet Italia is so much more than a tour of Italy. It is an "Italian Experience" you will never forget

A little late on the review since coming back from our trip in May but a must for such a great experience! We were fortunate to have travel and met up with a wonderful group of ladies from U.S and U.K. We traveled as 2 couples from Canada and wanted to experience Italy's country side with good food and wine in mind. We are foodie people and that was a must for us. We were not disappointed at all. Fabrizio made it a 5* experience for everyone. It was well organized for timing, places to see and explore, well hand picked restaurants/farm to table meals with wine. All of his hand picked selection of private tours, cooking lessons at his cousin's farm house, to wine tasting were are locally sourced and everyone was so passionate to share with us their way of life. The enrich culture and landscape of Abruzzo, Puglia and Matera is a must see. We learned that after every meal, you are always offered coffee/tea, then you are offered a final drink to "kill the coffee".... basically a shot of liquor, and that was the best part of it:) We tried several different type of liquor over the course of our trip, each one unique and so good, even bought a couple of bottles home to "kill the coffee". Something now we will always do to remember our amazing trip! Thank you so much Fabrizio! You're the best and only you do this right in Italy!

If you have the chance to tour Abruzzo with Fabrizio (Italiasweetitalia) , do not hesitate ~~ just do it. The area is amazing and Fabrizio's passion for his culture, the land and family and friends will give you a perspective that will stay with you. Hands on experience & educational. Knowledgable, gracious and accomodating are just some of the adjectives that come to mind. Thanks for a wonderful week.

My friend and I were on the 'Abruzzo, Puglia and Matera' experience tour and I can honestly recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing a more untouristed region of Italy (Abruzzo) along with Puglia and Matera. Fabrizio is a wonderful owner/tour guide and so were his family and friends! He went above and beyond many times. The cooking lesson at his parents farm house was a highlight of the tour as was the 'art farm' visit. The guides and drivers he handed our group off to in Puglia and Matera were also '5 star.' The hotels were excellent as were the meals, experiences (cooking classes, wine/olive oil tastings, and beautiful scenery. It is a small group tour so you have time to get to know the other travelers. Next year they are adding Locorotondo to the tour, a town you definitely don't want to miss! This was my third trip to Italy and the best so far.

Abruzzo is beyond amazing and the personal attention of Fabrzio, his family and friends make this trip a one of a kind experience. His associate in Puglia, Katia mirrors the authenciity that is Fabrizios hallmark with her knowledge and caring for her region.
