We visited on a sunny day in February so we were able to go into every nook there was. It is a nice old town, quiet too when we visited. Some of the buildings need updating but good condition of the narrow streets. Had a...More
A really good time at Vasto. Nice sunshine and relaxed atmosphere. The view from the belleveder is one to die for. Also the narrow streets are mostly well kept and are a sight to treasure with their authentic atmosphere. Highly recommend to visit if you...More
A walk right into the past. Beautifully laid out and just continue down the road to a magnificent view. Of the gulf. Turn back along the same way you came in and get a different perspective of the way back to the main piazza. Take...More
We stayed in the old city and so glad we did. Vasto has a number of piazzas that flow into one another.
At night these piazzas come alive, full of people walking, playing, eating or just taking in the fabulous ambience. We loved it!
I came here for a music festival and was blown away by the beauty of the historical center which was well-kept, clean, charming, and the people were lovely too. Close to beautiful beaches as well. Overlooked by lots of tourists, yet worth the trip!

This coastal Adriatic city is a delightful surprise. The city is filled with history. It is actually divided into a city scape which sits atop looking over the Adriatic city and on clear days you can see the Tremiti Islands. Filled with wonderful small shops,...More

There is a bus that takes you to the center. It is just outside the Vastro S. Salvo station not the Porto stop. You buy the tickets from the driver if I remember right. But there's usually a machine that you can buy them from too. The buses are really regular and they take you right up to the main square.
