In this piazza is a great pizza place. She makes the very best arancino balls with calabrese peppers inside. I got sick from eating them too fast. But, later realized I just needed to pace myself.

The central square of Tropea, where the most important roads converge and come together right here. The centerpiece of the town, many restaurants and ice cream parlors, bars and many tourists crowding the square and surrounding streets. Beautiful scenery but also a very romantic evening atmosphere.

This is right in the middle of the main corso, so good if you like "people watching" or fancy somewhere central to have a beer or a glass of wine. Not sure why this rates as an attraction in its own right: you'd see it if you go down the main corso and certainly wouldn't make a special visit!

By finding this Piazza, you find the centre of the Centro Storico and all those visual treats that you are searching for in Tropea. So elegant!

Why not sit at any of the cafés and sample a Tartufo di Pizzo ice cream bomb? Or a large aperol spritz, or refreshing beer and watch all the locals and tourists mingling in a pretty harmonious spot. It's a lovely town which manages happily to take the hoards and mix them together whilst still retaining its charm. A great... More

Piazza Ercole is a perfect place to grab a tartuffo and people watch. There are several cafes and restaurants to choose from to sit down and enjoy a meal or some coffee or dessert. The place gets quite busy in the evening (during the day between 12 and 4, it is quite dead, as this is siesta time). The atmosphere... More

A lively piazza with many places to eat and sit. Active with people all day and gets very busy at night! A lovely place to visit and stroll around.
