Great views for Sanctuary. The Sanctuary itself is not overly ornate inside but lovely none the less. Slight fee to enter the gardens behind the Sanctuary. Garden is not a must see in my opinion, but for the few euros to enter it was a nice experience & provided a few additional photo opportunities.

Really pleased we visited here - the views were amazing and we also loved the surprise of meeting the rabbits that live at the top!

Great view on the coast fro the monastery itself. The Ticket shop was closed. Nearby there are stairs to the historic center fro. Where you have a great view to the sanctuary itself

Unique place to have some photos. The sanctuary is free to visit but the gardens are with a small fee. Incredible beaches underneath full of fishes and clear waters that many tourists would love to see and dive in!

Climbing up the stairs is much easier than their "scary" look at first glance. The climb (which is really not difficult) is worth every step.
Firstly, to the amazing views of the bathing beaches and the sea view in every direction you look.
Secondly the small and well-preserved church (looks like recently renovated). It is highly recommended not to give up the visit.

First we watched the sanctuary from the viewpoint in the town - magnificent on a sunny day. Then we went down and approached the stairs. Unfortunately the entrance was closed although it was supposed to be open. But we left with the wonderful view in our minds.

Spectacular views of the Ionia sea. Don’t miss them if in Tropea. There are gardens for an extra fee that I would recommend.

We stopped to have a cool drink. I, an Aperol Spritz and my husband had a lemon beer, and we all (18) shared the table snacks at the Marina prior to walking up to the Monastery! Its a hike, the views are worth it, though.
