Some of the archaeological remains of Roman's settlement visible in Tortona are scattered 'throughout the city. The most important, however, is more pronounced in the Paghisano suburb some remains are tangible in front of the cemetery. An area protected by fences but easily visible even in the short distance. There is also a long Roman wall dated back the first century BC also in the hilly area of the castle, a wall about 100 meters long and perfectly preserved. Do not miss the other Roman structures positioned in the north of ''Via Emilia'' road and continue on the right until you get close to Iper shopping mall. Tortona former Roman colony.
