The road is closed to motorized vehicles on wednesday and saturdays. It is open from june to october. This old military road is just breathtaking. We cycled 34 km of dirt road with great joy. There is Casa dell’assietta, the only possibility to have food and drinks. They have cyclists menu ( super yummy).

i come here on foot, i start walking then i changed my mind cause the numerous cars and moto going along this beautiful unpaved road kick up a lot of dust. so i suggest you to come when the road is forbedden to the motor vehicles: on wednesday and saturday.

The yearly HARDALPITOUR leads their paths into the Assietta and over it ! This gravel-road and its connected paths are a truly highlight for everyone who likes off-road-riding - not matter if you are on a Dual-Sports.bike, or a small Enduro.

Amazing road to travel by off-road motorbike. Amazing scenery. Go there in September or later, to avoid getting stuck in bottle necks of 4x4 vehicles.
