Sestri Levante, appears to be a thriving upmarket resort, a popular resort for many Italians, no shortage of expensive hotels and expensive cars. The Bay of Silence hugs against the back of one of the narrow streets. It has a narrow strip of sand and is a child friendly beach . The shoreline has a safe shallow start and is... More

Poor water quality. There is a big steel factory in this town, Sestri Levante and this probably contributes to this. Much nicer areas to swim further down the coast

Just off the top end of Main Street (via XXV Aprile) it is a surprise to run into this beautiful bay and beach. There are other beaches but not as good and they are "paid beaches" with pre set chairs etc. Great spot to sit, swim walk the waters edge and admire this classy village.

Lovely here watching the world flow by. Couple small places to eat, small cobbled streets with loveky cafe bars. Travelled the world and feel lucky to gave stumbled on this gem of a find. 😊

So much nicer spending time here than the throngs of tourists visiting the much more widely known spot up the coast. It has the bonus of having a usable beach.

This is the smaller of the two beaches in Sestri Levante, but by far the most beautiful. It is a gorgeous cove surrounded by quintessentially Ligurian buildings. The beach does get crowded in Summer, but the soft sand and azure sea make up for this!

Sestri is a lovely town, very popular with the Italians themselves but loads of places to eat and spend time.

Gorgeous bay - busy during day - enchanting at night. We tried the sailing boat from the bay which was a very good treat to see the bay from the seaside
