We arrived in Val Fiscalina by bus, with line 440 running every half hour. You can park but the price is 15 euros per day. From there start several paths, such as the Locatelli refuge. We went to the Fondovalle refuge: it takes about 30 minutes, it is a mostly flat route, mostly under the sun. You don't need hiking shoes, just sneakers. From Val Fiscalina you can also descend to Moso: it takes fifty minutes and the route is always accompanied by mountains. For Sesto, however, it takes about an hour and a half.

We arrived in Val Fiscalina and more precisely at the refuge at the bottom of the valley by descending a steep path in the Croda Rossa di Sesto mountains, and then following it in the direction of Moso.
The refuge at the bottom of the valley was crowded even at 3.00 pm and presented courses that were a little too elaborate and expensive, which you wouldn't expect from a refuge on a trekking trail.
It is probably due to the fact that the valley is flat and easily passable, therefore the refuge can be easily reached by anyone.
The last stretch of the route near the refuge appears as a dirt road without any shade or vegetation adjacent to the bed of a large stream which was completely dry.
Approaching Moso, the path crosses a fir forest and well-kept fields and walking certainly becomes more pleasant.
The view of the surrounding peaks is exhilarating and repays all the little effort.
Recommended valley for those who want to try their hand at climbing beyond the refuge at the bottom of the valley, or towards the Comici and Locatelli refuge.

It is reached with the 440 which, however, in this period is subject to a fee. Otherwise you can take the 446 (guest pass) get off at Sesto or Moso and reach it with a pleasant walk.
Striking in winter, beautiful in autumn.
Once you reach the starting point, a pleasant, gently sloping walk begins, which takes you in half an hour to the hotel Dolomitien before then to the valley floor after about twenty.
And from where you can start a hike to the Three Peaks (about 1000mt in altitude).
Or just take a spin around sixth.
In winter you can also take a sledging walk.

The Val Fiscalina - Fischleintal is an Alpine valley which is a first quality attraction not only in itself, but also as a gateway to some excursions to the surrounding Dolomites' peaks. Among these, there are the Tre Cime di Lavaredo / Drei Zinnen, one of the most famous peaks of the Dolomites and the whole Alps.
The route is a 1000 m. drop, from 1450 m. where the paved road ends (and the bus gets) to 2450 m. of "Locatelli - Drei Zinnen" hut, just in front of the peaks. So, if you are not strong walkers, it is good to provide an entire summer day (so, a long one). The signs show for the climb 3 hours and 10 minutes, but for a quiet path please calculate at least an hour longer.
But this is a path without dangers, also suitable for those suffering from fear of heights.
In late spring the path it is graced by lush flowering
From the "Fondovalle" hut, the path suddenly climbs, with views on the peaks and on the large scree slopes of the "Cima One - Einserkofel". The view is made more exciting by the knowledge of the great landslide here fall in October 2007, and on which there is an illustration panel at the "Fondovalle" hut.
After a several hundred meters' climbing, you reach a plateau with less severe slope, and with increasingly sweeping view of the surrounding Dolomites. Arriving at the "Locatelli" hut crowns an unforgettable experience.

This is truly a beautiful valley… and it is easy accessible, by bus and car. So beware that you will be walking on a busy “highway” with tons of tourist and bicycles… this is not a mountain hike… rather a walk in the park… an extremely busy one… if you do not seek any “altitude”, this may be your tour for the day

Excellent excursion, with Sesto-Moos origin, with about two kilometers by car, where the track ends at a roundabout. Parking. There begins the path, charming, that runs through the Dolomites of Sesto, under the 3 summits of Lavaredo..
Dazzling landscape as in all the surrounding mountains. Unmissable.

Nice walk through meadows and woods, not too demanding, you can start from the car park of the cable car to Croda Rossa where you can leave your car for free. Crossing a small wooden bridge the route begins on the left with an uphill road which is initially asphalted and then gives way to a dirt road

Io e mia moglie vorremmo venire in treno fin dove è possibile e poi usare altri mezzi (bus). Secondo voi è una cosa fattibile o è troppo scomodo?
