On busy days you're packed in like sardines and it can be quite claustrophobic. The cable car is quite quick and they come into the cable car station every few minutes, so not long to wait. If you don't mind heights, the views are amazing.

In the peak season it is not a nice travel up. Too many people are in one big cabin. Travelling is short and views are nice. You will be up very fast. But I prefer smaller cabins where you can sit down.

Good parking place near the lift. In a few minutes can be on the road to fantastic places for skiing. Sometimes there is a lot of people (a queue for 20 to 40 minutes).

We found it a bit expensive for the last week of the ski season. A part of the lifts was closed but the prices were the same. Most ski areas will offer cheaper ski passes in that case.

Make sure you take the first lift up to Piz Sella (opens at 8.30) on a sunny day. The view from the top is spectacular. The Sella is facing you with the Alps to your right and the Pordoi behind you and there might be...More
