We had a stopover in this lovely Italian town. It was a truly memorable experience. There was a real buzz about the place with families out enjoying a Saturday evening. Our family run hotel "Hotel Gloria" was inexpensive but had all we needed for our stay. Very helpful and friendly staff and a nice breakfast with home baked biscuits and... More

We are Americans but experienced in the European spa world so our visit came with certain expectations, especially with a spa of such history and architectural uniqueness. We felt our day was entirely worthwhile, reveling in the amazing structure of Terme Berzieri, absolutely one of the truly wonderful spas of Europe. Salsomaggiore is full of both old and new hotels... This was our first visit to Salsomaggiore and we would love to return. The building holding the spa is just beautiful. Just viewing the building was an experience. Then the relaxing sauna and showers, and pool had us forget any cares, Then the wonderful massage. We were jelly. What a wonderful experience.

This place was fantastic. Not only is the architecture of the building absolutely stunning, but the baths are awesome. We bought the special "Couples Day" which included access to the 3 pools, the tepidarium, caldarium, and frigidarium, and a couples massage. The pools were by far the best part. Perhaps we didn't take the temperature rooms too seriously, but they... More

Salso is a classic old school spa town and retains much of its charm. The spa building is stunning and of course the treatments are great. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Go on, treat yourself!

We drove from San Marino for 4 hours to visit the spa on the 1st of August 2010. Wanted to see that spa. The building is great - in Thai Style in the middle of nowwhere in a quite small city. The building is really exhuberant for the treatment (based on SALT = Salso). BUT it tooks hours to enter... More
