The house in which Depero lived now houses exhibits of his works. We found it a curious diversion, rather than a main destination in its own right. Several of the rooms and exhibits are rather quirky, but nevertheless interesting.

We gained free entry to the museum by virtue of our Trentino card, which our hotel in Rovereto had given us free of charge. This little museum, situated in the old town, houses works by Fortunato Depero, a futuristic artist, sculptor and graphic designer. Some...More

There is little information in English but the art is varied and we thoroughly enjoyed our (second) visit.

The museum is completely dedicated to Fortunato Depero and offers a great insight in the Italian futurism movement. It is a part of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and we bought the ticket when we visited MART. We were surprised and excited while...More

This interesting art museum was founded in 1957 by Fortunato Depero, a futurist artist and a pioneer of contemporary design. It is a fabulous collection with more than three thousand objects including paintings, graphic arts and drawings.

Thoroughly enjoyable gallery with paintings, tapestries, exquisite furniture, toys, photos and in a drop dead gorgeous building - we just loved it. Must see if you're in Rovereto

You must go to this museum. It was designed by the one and only, Fortunato Depero. You'll even see furniture and cushions designed by him. Excellent preservation of artwork. Beautiful architecture inside.

I had a bit of time before my train to peruse this collection, which was fun and whimsical, and introduced some good historical context. I had a Trentino pass so I didn't have to pay.

Oddly enough, we were both unaware of the life and work of this creative and prolific designer/artist, who spent some of his life working in the field of design in New York City. We found this small museum captivating! Our visit left us eager to...More
