Very near to the train station so an ideal first or last stop as it's open from 10am until 6pm (some leaflets suggest otherwise) daily except Mondays. Welcoming English speaking staff at the desk and in museum itself. Excellent Map.
Well Signposted. Entrance included with Trentino Card but the fantastic Space Exhibition was well worth the 7 euros extra- not a sky high price for the experience. This temporary exhibition finishes end of August, I think.
The Virtual Reality Stations were superb and just to hear those Russian astronauts' voices.... Loads of authentic space 'stuff' like flight plans, insulation blankets, even the food. Wonderful models and replica space suits.
Now on dry land. The planetarium is permanent and feature filled. Loved it ,especially the cute 3D Models.
The permanent collection has excellent English descriptors .
Extensive 'Roman Age' Section plus the Sala Orsi. The Mineral and Geological Sections were 'marble' less !
The Lunar Rover and the Dinosaurs appeal to everyone.
Top Floor has snack machines/toilets etc.
Another of Rovereto's many attractions which you really should visit!

The museum was free over Christmas, so great value. Friendly staff on the counter, lots of helpful advice. Great place to see stuffed animals, birds and bugs of Trentino up close. Very nice rock collections for Trentino too.

We gained free entry to the museum by virtue of our Trentino card, which our hotel in Rovereto had given us free of charge.

This is a slightly strange mix of the old and the new. In terms of the old, it houses exhibits of stuffed animals, which struck me as a bit old-fashioned. But, in terms of the new, it also houses a small planetarium in its gardens at the rear of the building. And it was this that I found of most interest – the explanations (in English) of various astronomical phenomena and bodies, were very good indeed.

The museum was founded in 1851 with the purpose to salvage the historic and natural heritage and to promote the development of the city. It is a well organized and interesting collection of the archaeological, scientific, artistic and natural heritage of the city and its surroundings.

the street, and 'very busy at the fantastic bar, with excellent tasting adjacent to the museum or in front of the entrance, and the winter sun makes the place pleasant and gives' us a lot of outside being able to smoke in peace, between' silence and the sound adjacent stream. Market square after a few meters popular on Tuesday ', with crowded streets with tourists and very low prices, parking everywhere, and an adjacent parking lot with 40 spaces, great for everyone, far from the chaotic center, close to the war museum very popular 100 meters away, and you can admire the waterfall on the postcard bridge....... Area full of mountain routes to start and return on foot, from the civic museum... THE BEST OF TRENTINO, DON'T MISS IT..... BREATHTAKING AREA... 😃😃😃😃😃😃

Very good alternative to spend some time. Embalmed animals, fossils (mollusks, plants, and local populations over time) and a part about cute space (space exploration, universe in general, and solar system).
