Very very beautiful mtb trail. We wete at a campsite in Ledro and first did the Passo Tonale to Riva. Than we took the bikeshuttle in Torbole to Tremalzopass (mada a reservation 2 das before) and followed the 730 & 779 with our 2 children 10 and 13 years old. Took about 4 hrs including pauses.

Stayed at Bardelino further south on Lake Garda, and had a run/boat trip all around. The day we visited Riva they had a large street market, and quite honestly without this there wouldn't have been a lot to see......pricey shops, and a few restaurants and cafes.
Don't get me wrong, a lovely place, quieter than others, and buildings/views great - but as a visit stop on a round lake tour, or better still boat trip - Limeone and SImene (?!) especially...

If you visit Riva Del Garda and want great leather jackets and goods visit Lori at Zaphiro, Viale S. Francecso 6/A Riva Del Garda. My husband and I bought two Italian leather jackets at prices we couldn't believe. Lori, who owns the shop, only wants the best for her customers and knows her stuff.

First let me say Riva del Garda a is beautiful town, hugging the mountainous shoreline, and giving stunning lake views.
HOWEVER, it’s is a nightmare and dangerous place to visit, if you are not agile. The whole town is plagued with cyclists, they are like locusts, racing along the paths, recklessly swerving in and out of pedestrians, and riding into people.
The town is completely ruined by their presence and the local government needs to resolve the problem before their stupid behaviour results in serious injuries or death.
I cannot recommend this town for anybody that is elderly, young, or does not have the ability to jump out of the cyclists way.
The roads are clogged with stop start traffic, and there are semi naked people covering all available grasses areas, it’s just not a relaxing place to be

We rented mountain bikes and did a 50 km tour over a 3 hour period in April. 20+ degrees Celsius and the best landscapes including lake, mountains and vineyards.
Most awesome time, very recommended, even for shorter rides. Many trails, some hills, but routes can be found along the lake that are flatter thetefor easier.
Sometimes trails connect via a public road but traffic is slow, infrequent and very respecting of bikers.
Bikeshops in town are very knowledgeable and have great equipment including helmets and bike bottles.

The scenery here is breathtaking! This is a beautiful little town on the Northern edge of Lago Garda. Very busy during the summer and many people with bicycles. The only problem is that not only do the people ride their bicycles in the streets but they also ride them on the sidewalks which can be dangerous for pedestrians. They should put training wheels on their bikes if they choose to ride on the sidewalks. And there are bicycle lanes all around the city. Why is it necessary to ride on the sidewalks????

When in Riva, do try the biking trails out. They are a must for all abilities, from quiet to white knuckle experiences. There are a few different places on offer, do a little research to find out what will suit your needs. They hope to finish a cycle trail from Limone sul Garda to Riva in the not too distant future.
The amount of people using the bike trails is incredible.......go try it out!!
