Excellent. You can get up and close. Loved it here. Plants and gardens very pretty. Plenty of seats to have a drink afterwards. Waterfall stunning

We were taking the old Ponale road. After going past the cafe, we turned left down a road signposted to “Ex Porto”. We couldn’t find any signs for the actual waterfall but could hear it all around us and occasionally caught glimpses.
This route was very steep and treacherous - not a well maintained path and loose rocks that were quite hazardous to walk on. We eventually came into a clearing where there was a small waterfall and pool, where we paddled (very cold!).
After climbing down the path some more, we could see the waterfall and the pool at the bottom, but there was a locked gate covered in spikes. The path then continued onto the main road, with no other way to get to the waterfall.
Disappointed, we then had to do the long steep hike back up…
